* At one point Brody decides to call Matt Hooper back to Amity when he realizes another killer shark has invaded Amity's waters. It seems that their bond in the first film was not forgotten at all and the only reason Matt couldn't come is that he's away on an expedition.

* Mixed with tearjerker but Marge saving Sean. Had she selfishly focused on just getting on the overturned boat, she would have survived; her bravery and protectiveness cost her her life ([[BloodlessCarnage apparently]]) but saved Sean's. [[HesJustHiding No wonder many fans like to canonize the deleted scene in which she made it to safety.]]

* Surprisingly, Brody's firing has a few sweet moments attached to it:
** A DeletedScene shows the vote on whether or not to fire Brody for his actions on the beach. Vaughn is the only one to vote in favor of keeping him.
** It requires the use of the pause button, but in the finished film it's possible to see handwritten notes on the table during the Town Hall scene indicating that the people at the meeting have had the compassion to consider the impact on the Brody family of firing Martin.
* Brody and Hendricks:
** Hendricks is made the new sheriff and feels rather guilty about it. Though devastated over being fired, Brody doesn't begrudge Hendricks and even offers a toast in his honor.
** Later, when Brody decides he is going to take the police boat to try and save Mike, Hendricks pleads with him to stop... only to finally say screw it and hop in, saying they can't fire him too. Brody is only working on a hunch but Hendricks [[UndyingLoyalty is that loyal to his boss]].
* Brody finding Tina and instantly gathering her in his arms, hugging her and comforting her. The teen has been reduced to the mentality of a child thanks to the shark attack and Brody doesn't hesitate to reassure her. Then Ellen and Hendricks board, holding her and wrapping her in blankets while Brody makes sure that a passing boat will come and take the three back to shore while he goes to save the other kids.
