* Ms. Viola's complete and unwavering faith in Boadicea. Knowing full well her daughter will have no trouble facing down the dangers of the outside world as she rushes off to get the help of the rockhopper penguins.

* The Amigos are still by Mumble's side and very clearly regarded as beloved parts of Mumble's family, to the point where they're pretty clearly seen as godfathers or eccentric uncles to Eric. When the kids go missing, Mumble and Gloria get visibly less worried when realizing they're probably with Ramon, and when Eric's about to fall, they all immediately rush to help Mumble pull him up as fast as they can. Good to see that nothing's changed between the movies, and they're still as close to each other as ever.

* The human research ship full of {{Adorkable}}, rock music loving humans that takes in both Sven and Lovelace and rehabilitates them. At one point we get to see the former, upper body encased in a plaster cast covered in words like "Rock on" and "get well soon", taking wobbly little puffin steps from one researcher to another, who lifts him up and spins around happily with him.

* The fact that Mumble has ''not'' inexplicably [[StatusQuoIsGod retained his pariah status]] in the sequel. While he still merits a collective, exasperated ''"Mumble!"'' when he ruins an ensemble number, there's warmth and acceptance in it now and he's clearly regarded with respect. Dance classes have been integrated into penguin primary schooling and acceptance of nonstandard expressions of a young penguin's heartsong are commonplace. When Mumble speaks, even the elders listen to him seriously. Our boy did good.

* Bo and Atticus' friendship with Erik and how quickly and sweetly they hop into Erik's hole at the beginning of the movie. It's a warm parallel to the way Mumble had to isolate himself and hide in cracks in the ice as a hatchling, with no one ever trying to help. Little Erik might be different and sometimes scared, but he will ''never'' feel broken or unwanted.

* The entire scene where Gloria sings [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KOr65hYgHq0&feature=related "Bridge of Light"]] to Erik. It gets better when the other penguins join in.
** It gets more Heartwarming at the end when Erik joins in.
* Erik [[spoiler:singing an improvised opera about how heroic and brave his father is to convince the elephant seals to help the penguins]], and it works.
* Everyone trying to help each other out from being trapped to the song ''[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qrrjITelsXA Under Pressure]]''.
** Even the penguins who are trapped help by singing and encouraging the penguins and elephant seals who are pounding on the ice.
** Gloria tears up when Erik starts singing along with her.
** ''Creatures of the world unite...''
* Erik dancing on Mumble's feet near the beginning. Sure, it goes wrong less than a minute later, but the sheer joy on his face is wonderful to see.
* Ramon finally winning Carmen's heart off by leaping off the doomberg to join her in the blocked-off Emperorland.
-->'''Ramon''': A thousand lifetimes up there is nothing to this one exquisite moment by your side.
* Bryan's breathless, overjoyed ''"Boys..."'' upon seeing his pups again, after Mumble saves him from the ice crevice.
* Sven reassuring Erik that he believes in him, and giving him the "if you want it, you must will it; if you will it, it will be yours" mantra. And receiving a big hug in return.
** Another one is the little remark he makes after learning of Erik's name.
-->'''Sven''': Erik. In my homeland, we have many brave warriors named Erik.
** Really, Sven and Erik's entire friendship. Erik absolutely ''adores'' Sven, and is never once shown losing too much faith in him, even when he learns that Sven is not a penguin. Sven--given his personality--can easily be mistaken for just enjoying the adoration he gets from the child, but even after he reveals what he is, he still shows genuine concern for Erik, and his encouragement was proved sincere. When Erik nearly fell off of the glacier, Sven reacted in absolute horror and was ready to save him, unafraid to show his face again if it meant helping the young penguin.
