* Fans of the series had a Change.org petition asking Bandai-Namco to localize ''VideoGame/DigimonStoryCyberSleuth'' outside of Japan, which they did, even developing a PS4 version of the game. Prior to the US/EU release Kasumasa Habu, the producer of the Digimon games, released a video thanking fans for their continued devotion to the series and for letting Bandai-Namco know how much they wanted to have the game released.

[[AC:Digimon Adventure]]

* The surprisingly fantastic ''{{Digimon}}'' movie shows Tai and Matt travelling into the internet, not with TechnoBabble, but through sheer love for their Digimon.
-->'''Tai:''' "Listen, [[PilotMovie I don't have a whistle to wake you]], but I want you to know [[YouAreNotAlone you're not alone]]. Okay? And the mail keeps coming. It won't stop! Kids from all over the world are writing to you. They need your help. You're the only one who can do it! Feel their hope! Feel their strength!"
-->'''[=WarGreymon=]:''' * cough* "I... FEEL THEM!" (Cue CrowningMomentOfAwesome.)
** The sequel ''Diaboromon Strikes Back'', has another moment on the part of a crowd of nameless onlookers. Diaboromon has appeared in the harbour a la Godzilla and pretty much half the city has shown up to watch the fight, Omnimon is out for the count and things are looking pretty much hopeless, when Ken and Daisuke show up and hear their Digimon calling for them across the crowded peer. They struggle to get to each other through the throng of people -- then Daisuke yells and the crowd, realising who (and what) these two kids are immediately part ''en masse'' to let them through and reach their partners - all of them smiling, cheering and encouraging them.
* "Sora's Crest of Love" is pretty much an entire episode of this. We find out that while the group was separated, Sora and Biyomon had been helping them all along. Sora figures out her mother really did care about her when she feels the same way about Biyomon, her love for her partner ultimately triggering her crest to let her digivolve into Garudamon.
* It's a minor thing, but Koromon and Hikari playing pattycake together in episode 21 is just too adorable not to mention.
* Hikari freeing a large group of Numemon from slavery, and the Numemon trying to save her life in turn.

[[AC:Digimon Adventure 02]]

* This troper found the end of episode 13 a CrowningMomentOfHeartwarming when TK assured Kari, who had been on the verge of suffering from a HeroicBSOD due to the [[CosmicHorror Dark Ocean]] playing on her inferiority complex regarding her brother, that she didn't just have Tai to lean on--she had him and the rest of her friends too.
* When Ken Ichijouji [[spoiler: is reunited with Wormmon, after Wormmon performed a HeroicSacrifice]].
* Kari gets another one with Yolei this time on her next trip into the world of the dark Ocean where she's [[HeroicBSOD literally falling apart]] and Yolei [[GetAHoldOfYourselfMan has to slap some sense into her]], then tells her [[YouAreNotAlone that it's okay, she's not alone]] [[RousingSpeech and they're going to beat this together]]. A few seconds later, their partners Jogress Digivolve together into Sylphimon.
* Ken's ''mom'' gets one of these too. Once she and her husband are bluntly made aware of their considerable screw ups concerning their [[ParentalFavouritism treatment of their youngest child]], the audience gets to see her as a mother who truly loves her son, and we start to realise how hard she's trying to make up for her mistakes. Anyway, after countless episodes of Ken's [[MyGodWhatHaveIDone beating himself up]], trying to [[TheAtoner atone alone]], forgetting ''[[LaserGuidedAmnesia who she was]]'', and [[TheWoobie generally going through so much crap]] that it became difficult to imagine he was ''ever'' the Kaiser, he finally comes round to the others attempts to help him. During one episode, Ken calls Mrs. Ichijouji to tell her he's ''staying at a friend's place'', and she starts crying on the phone because the son she'd thought was trapped in a bubble forever and would never be able to deal with the social world finally has friends.
** Chibimon and Minomon waking Davis up by playfighting on his bed is just So. Damn. '''Cute'''. You'll nearly explode watching it.
* Ken's laughing (as in not a maniacal evil laugh, but a genuinely happy one) for the first time (much to the others astonishment) got This Troper, too.
* Davis's speech while Ken is trying to close a gateway to the Dark Ocean (and is in considerabe pain while doing so) could be seen as heartwarming. The speech, plus the fact that every single one of the team is right there next to him helping him stay upright and encouraging him, is pretty damn moving even when the Dub does it.
* This Troper found the uniting power of an entire planet's worth of Chosen Children right at the end of the second series tugged at the heartstrings quite a bit.
** This troper as well. A lot of people deride that scene, but it's amazing when you realize just how well-set-up that was- the only requirement to be made a Digidestined is to see a Digimon, and it's likely that, just like the new protagonists of 02, all those kids were supporting Tai and company against Diaboromon. ''Every single one.'' And then they get repaid in full by becoming chosen kids themselves and taking an active role in the final battle.
** The thing that gets me is for all the hate the DistantFinale gets, there's one thing that warms my heart beyond anything else about it. Last time, in ''DigimonAdventure'', the original eight Digidestined ultimately [[{{Tearjerker}} had their beloved partners ripped away from them after their final battle]]. You can't help thinking the fear of going through that again and that all the other new chosen children would have to suffer the same was going through Tai and company's heads as the final battle raged and the evil of Myotismon was brought to a perment end. They're probably thinking it will happen this time as well and probably so was the audience, and then...'''''it doesn't happen!''''' For the first and only time thus far in Digimon history...the Chosen Children '''''keep their Digimon!'''''. The more seasons go by that end with a BittersweetEnding were the BigBad meets his end but the heroes must surrender their beloved partners and go their seperate ways, the more this touches the heart. Not only the new Digidestined and the world, but the ''old Digidestined'' who had to give up their partners at the end of their journey, which would make this trope in and of itself. It's the fact that this was the only time thus far that our heroes all get their happy ending, and that makes it an unbelievably heartwarming moment.

[[AC:Digimon Tamers]]

* No love for [[DigimonTamers Tamers]]? That is just wrong, seeing how Tamers has a "Crowning Character of Heartwarming" in the form of Ruki (Rika). To count:
** Rika praising Renamon's performance and offering her an energy drink. Granted, [[DefrostingIceQueen it wouldn't be out of character in later episodes]]; but this was from one of the first ones, so, it is totally heartwarming.
** Rika, seeing as she would travel to the Digital World for an unknown amount of time (and maybe never returning at all), dressing in a very pink and very girly dress that she hates so much, just to make her mom happy.
** Rika and Renamon rushing to take Impmon to the real world even when they had no time to be wasting (as the ship heading there would be out in minutes). Seriously, this could go on forever.
** Rika, before rushing to the final battle, accepting a new shirt from her mother, with a blue non-broken heart (opposite to the usual blue broken heart she usually wore).
*** What makes it sweeter is that right after, her mother removes her own jacket to reveal ''her'' new shirt: one with a red heart. "We match..."
** Rika's CharacterDevelopment is completed in the Finale, when she cries for Renamon not to leave her, telling her that she loves her.
* What about when Impmon tears himself away from his twin Tamers (who can finally share him and treat him as a friend) to go rescue the others, and Makoto gives him a toy gun "So you can go blast the bad guys" (the kid's like, 4). It then turns into a CrowningMomentOfAwesome when, while running in the direction of the battle, Impmon digivolves into Beelzemon, looks at the toy gun and it turns into a functioning [[ArmCannon arm-mounted]] '''{{BFG}}'''. There are fucking ''reasons'' why Beelzemon is this troper's favorite character from that series

[[AC:Heartwarming/DigimonFrontier]]

In fairness, that episode was pulled from the American rotation, because it involved kidnapping and implied pedophilia.

* I'm surprised that Daisuke's speech while Ken is trying to close a gateway to the Dark Ocean (and is in considerabe pain while doing so) hasn't been mentioned. The speech, plus the fact that every single one of the team is right there next to him helping him stay upright and encouraging him, is pretty damn moving even when the Dub does it.

** Ruki and Renamon rushing to take Impmon to the real world even when they had no time to be wasting (as the ship heading there would be out in minutes). Seriously, this could go on forever.
** Ruki, before rushing to the final battle, accepting a new shirt from her mother, with a blue non-broken heart (opposite to the usual blue broken heart she usually wore).

* "Sora's Crest of Love" is pretty much an entire episode of this. We find out that while the group was seperated, Sora and Biyomon have been helpping them all along. Sora figures out her mother really did care about her when she feels the same way about Biyomon, her love for her partner ultimately triggering her crest to let her digivolve into Garudamon.

** The thing that gets me is for all the hate the DistantFinal gets, there's one thing that warms my heart beyond anything else about it. They're probably thinking it will happen this time as well and probably so was the audience, and then...''''''it doesn't happen!''''' For the first and only time thus far in Digimon history...the Chosen Children '''''keep their Digimon!'''''.

There are fucking ''reasons'' why Beelzemon is this troper's favorite character from that series.

* The second season of ''{{Digimon}}'', when Ken Ichijouji [[spoiler: is reunited with Wormmon, after Wormmon performed a HeroicSacrifice]].
** In the same season this troper found the end of episode 13 a CrowningMomentOfHeartwarming when Takeru assured Hikari, who had been on the verge of suffering from a HeroicBSOD due to the [[CosmicHorror Dark Ocean]] playing on her inferiority complex regarding her brother, that she didn't just have Taichi to lean on--she had him and the rest of her friends too.
*** Hikari gets another one with Miyako this time on her next trip into the world of the dark Ocean where she's [[HeroicBSOD literally falling apart]] and Miyako [[GetAHoldOfYourselfMan has to slap some sense into her]], then tells her [[YouAreNotAlone that it's okay, she's not alone]] [[RousingSpeech and they're going to beat this together]]. A few seconds later, their partners Jogress Digivolve together into Sylphiemon.
** Ken's ''mom'' gets one of these too.
*** Ken's laughing (as in not a maniacal evil laugh, but a genuinely happy one) for the first time (much to the others astonishment) got This Troper, too.
*** I'm surprised that Daisuke's speech while Ken is trying to close a gateway to the Dark Ocean (and is in considerabe pain while doing so) hasn't been mentioned. The speech, plus the fact that every single one of the team is right there next to him helping him stay upright and encouraging him, is pretty damn moving even when the Dub does it.
** Chibimon and Minomon waking Daisuke up by playfighting on his bed is just So. Damn. '''Cute'''. You'll nearly explode watching it.
** This Troper found the uniting power of an entire planet's worth of Chosen Children right at the end of the second series tugged at the heartstrings quite a bit.
*** This troper as well.
* No love for [[DigimonTamers Tamers]]? That is just wrong, seeing how Tamers has a "Crowning Character of Heartwarming" in the form of Ruki (Rika). To count:
** Ruki praising Renamon's performance and offering her an energy drink. Granted, [[DefrostingIceQueen it wouldn't be out of character in later episodes]]; but this was from one of the first ones, so, it is totally heartwarming.
** Ruki, seeing as she would travel to the Digital World for an unknown amount of time (and maybe never returning at all), dressing a very pink and very girly dress that she hates so much, just to make her mom happy.
** Ruki, before rushing to the final battle, accepting a new shirt from her mother, with a blue non-broken heart (opposite to the usual blue broken heart she usually wore).
*** What makes it sweeter is that right after, her mother removes her own jacket to reveal ''her'' new shirt: one with a red heart. "We match..."
** Ruki and Renamon rushing to take Impmon to the real world even when they had no time to be wasting (as the ship heading there would be out in minutes). Seriously, this could go on forever.
