I'm transferring the sequel entries to Brother Bear 2.

* The transformation scene, when [[BilingualBonus you know what the lyrics say]]. The spirits don't hold it against Kenai - they're aware he's just too hurt to realize his mistake - and they only want to help him understand better that which he feared and hated. They're performing the ForcedTransformation to give him an opportunity to learn, so that he won't have to fear and hate bears anymore.

* The fact that Denahi became Tanana's apprentice at the end of the first movie, succeeding her as the tribe's shaman and goes on to tell his and his brothers' story to subsequent generations well into his old age, shows he took his Totem - the Wolf of Wisdom - to heart.
* In general, there's Kenai, Koda, Rutt, Tuke, and Nita's amiable interactions in the sequel. In the original film, the bear bros were almost killed by something or another every ten minutes, and had the bombshell of Kenai hunting Koda's mother hanging over their heads, waiting to drop. In the LighterAndSofter sequel, the terror and angst don't really start to set in until the last act, so they get to just be close friends on a road trip far more often.
* Right after Nita meets Koda, she inmediately gets along with the little bear cub, they even joke about Kenai in a playful manner a couple of times. Even when she has to go back to her home after she burns the amulet, she says Koda is a such sweet little cub.
* It's easy to miss, since the moose brothers are only recurring characters in the films, but there's also Rutt and Tuke's relationship with Koda. Like Kenai, they develop a soft spot for a bear cub that's not a member of their species. In a deleted scene for the first film, they take Koda's side during an argument with Kenai, and in the sequel, despite being well established as [[LovableCoward lovable cowards]], they quickly accompany Kenai on a rescue mission to save 'smallish bear' from a village of human hunters.
* When they were children Kenai rescued Nita from drowning, out of love he gives her an amulet to remember him by, Nita is so touched by this that she paints a picture of the two saying they will be best friends. It's no wonder Kenai is pissed that when they reunite as adults that Nita calls the amulet a silly little trinket since it obviously meant a lot for him when he gave it to her in the first place as a parting gift. The childhood memory is still one of the best if not heartwarming scenes we're shown in the second film.
* Kenai earnestly helping Nita conquer her aquaphobia in the river. He's come a long way from the short-sighted teen he was at the start of the original film.
* After Nita saves Koda from a snow avalanche, Kenai finds both of them and expresses relief at Koda being safe.
* Even though Koda is afraid of losing Kenai due to the latter's romance with Nita, Kenai reassures him that he will never leave Koda. He is his adopted brother after all. And the two bears embrace in a hug. It's such heartwarming moment, especially considering the fact that Kenai is all Koda has left now.
* Right after Kenai is injured due to his fight with Atka, Nita inmediately rushes to side along with Koda even though she can't understand him anymore, he places her hand to his chest and they declare their love for each other. Nita hugs him. It's such a heartwarming moment.
* Kenai and Nita's wedding at the end of the sequel.
** Before that, Nita's transformation into a bear crosses with a SugarWiki/MomentOfAwesome.

* During "Great Spirits" montage, the village kids ask Kenai about getting his "spirit rock" today and he excitedly and kindly tells them that it's not a rock but a totem. He even scruffles a little girls hair in a playful manner. Shows that even though he is impulsive and inmature, he has a kind side to him, especially with children.

* During "Great Spirits" the lyrics: "Lived three brothers bonded by love. Their hearts full of joy" and we see Sitka, Denahi and Kenai enjoying themselves just like any other siblings relationship and it's absoluteky heartwarming. The rest of the lyrics: "Show us that in your eyes we are all the same, brothers to each other in this world we remain, truly brothers all the same." only make the song more awesome if not powerful.

* When Kenai transforms back into a human he approaches Koda who is clearly afraid now that he no longer recognizes him, he speaks calmly to the bear cub and Koda remembers Kenai and jumps for a hug. It's very heartwarming especially for Koda who witnessed his mom being attacked by humans and had every to reason fear humans. Here he recognizes his adopted brother as a human and truly forgives him. Also it's very heartwarming to see how humble and kind Kenai has become, both in human and bear form. It speaks a lot from the impulsive teenager he was before.

* The progression of Kenai's friendship with Koda. Despite their early clash of attitudes and Kenai's surliness, Kenai and Koda actually aren't that different in terms of teasing, fun-loving personalities (which becomes especially clear in the sequel). As Kenai's prejudice towards bears ebbs away and he makes peace with his brother's death, he admits to himself that Koda is a good kid and the two begin to become friends. After a while, Kenai starts to entertain the idea of being a sibling figure to the cub and increasingly prioritizes Koda's needs over his own, which comes to a head in the last act [[spoiler: when he comes clean about his act of bear murder, so Koda can know the truth about his mother, and chooses to remain a bear for the rest of his life so he can look after Koda]].

** It's just as heartwarming on Koda's end. "No Way Out" could easily and understandably severed their friendship for good, but after some grief, it ultimately survives beyond that: Koda, with full knowledge now, decides he would still like to be Kenai's friend, faults and all. Koda's own faults as a person start to emerge in the sequel, and they work past that as well.
