**It's possible Jean gleaned enough information to find out he's a direct descendant of theirs, but just not how direct.

** She was just openly wondering about it. The team hadn't seriously talked about it, and when Scott went to bring the topic up in full happens to be the exact moment Magneto shows up to take over anyway, rendering any discussion on the matter moot.

[[folder: Jean's knowledge of Cable's identity]]
* Way back in the original series episode ''Time Fugitives Part 2'', Jean scanned Cable's mind and saw flashes of herself and Scott in it, later telling Scott that Cable is someone more important to the future (specifically ''their'' future) than he could possibly imagine. This implies that she'd realized the truth about his parentage, or at least, learnt enough to draw some kind of deep connection between herself, Scott and Cable. Yet, Jean (and Scott) seem completely shocked to discover that Cable is Nathan when they encounter him again in ''Bright Eyes''. For that matter, shouldn't Madelyn (who had all of Jean's memories) have known the truth as well even before she encountered Cable in Genosha shortly before her death?

[[folder: Leadership of the X-men]]
*When Scott announces that he and Jean are planning to leave the team, Jubilee wonders who will lead the X-men with the first two X-men gone. Why does no one consider Storm as a potential leader of the team? In the original series, she was established as being second-in-command in the field. Surely, she would be the natural choice (as she has been in the comics). For that matter, why isn't Beast considered as a potential leader, given that he too is a founding member?

* Jean sees that Bastion's father was injected by some of Nimrod's remains, leftover from the events of 'One Man's Worth'. But in that episode, Bishop when Bishop destroyed Nimrod's armband he was sent back into the future he came from and so were all his pieces, so how did that piece of him get left behind?
