** Red didn't look as much disgusted as he did uncomfortable, which makes sense considering he's the most innocent cast member.

* Why did Red look so disgusted by Pit when the latter was checking him out? It seemed wildly out of character for him.

* When fox gets called a furry, is he a furry in the conventional sense, or is furry a racist slur against animal people?

And even when their allies begin dropping like flies around them, what do they do? They [[ThisIsSparta Just. Stand. There.]] TooDumbToLive doesn't even begin to describe it...

** Some do. But when Mario readies his big attack, you can see plenty more people just standing there. Dynamic staging isn't this series' strong suit.

Yes, it makes sense, but I felt a bit anti-climatic.
* In a series ''this'' melodramatic, were you really expecting anything short of a massive ShootTheShaggyDog ending? It wouldn't have fit with the mood of the story at all if [[spoiler: she and Mario and Luigi all had a happy ending.]] Bad stuff happens, people die, innocence is stained and lost over time. What better way to illustrate this is there than killing off [[spoiler: the one symbol of order and idealism that the Mushroom Kingdom had?]]

* I always presumed it was Leaf taking care of them. Also, just because we only saw Red and Leaf doesn't mean they're the ONLY ones. For all we know, there's a Blue or someone else from the games taking care of them off screen.
