** Towards the end of the ''Power of the Atom'' series, Ray develops a shrinking gadget that permanently and apparently safely reduces a bunch of people to six-inch height. Presumably this means he ironed out the "exploding" problem...somehow. However, this still wouldn't explain the spare size-changing belt Ray left for Jean Loring, which worked on her new husband in ''Power of the Atom'' and on Jean herself in [[spoiler: Comicbook/IdentityCrisis]].
