**Another explanation could be that she was simply exiting the moon of TOME, and Nylocke and the others were in her way, so she attacked them and left. [[spoiler: if she was after the drain edge, then she would've gotten it before leaving, after all it was right next to her on the ground]]

\n** [[spoiler: Rubi]] got him in, despite his reputation. He likely handwaved his hacking activity as a false positive or something, since only Alpha and Flamey have seen it anyway.

** Kirb didn't say anything because he wanted to keep these two halves of his life very separate. He was focused on trying to ensure Zetto had nothing to do with him, just having fun with the game. Naturally, he suffered and made everyone else suffer for it, hence his apology to Alpha at the end. Zetto not getting their help on the Netkings is because they don't know anything about it of course. It's [[spoiler:Rubirules']] plan, and he wanted to make sure no one else knew. They gave Flamegirl the antivirus just to keep it under control while it was on Alpha. Pissing off the virus was likely instigated by [[spoiler:Rubirules]] to see if he could contain it early (the end plan involved Kajet being let loose and the Dragon Bug being made to destroy it), which backfired.

All the secrecy and subtle plots are driven by the fact that it's been shown (Episode 10, where Zetto riles it up within Alpha through this) that just talking about the virus seems to piss it off and release it. Trying to talk everything out with Alpha, at least would rile it up and cause him to go berserk before they could prepare to contain it.

** [[spoiler: Rubirules implanted the Dragon Bug's head into Nylocke's character model before he gave it to him (as part of the "1,111,111th player" contest). He did this to hide it from the Netkings and presumably would have saught it out had it not [[ContrivedCoincidence so conveniently ended up with one of both the Virus and Antivirus carriers' best friends]].]]

** She shows the ability to read people's thoughts. Execk, being very knowledgable and intelligent, likely has a lot of memories related to pain or war throughout history, whether his memories or things he's read, and he could have been thinking abot them as he explained it to SOFDTI.

* So the virus causes pain by simulating human thought? Where would it get a reference for that when nothing in the game before it caused actual pain? And what pain could they cause through the brain, like feeling like an ax cut off your arm like Zetto felt? Has Zetto felt his arm being cut off by an ax before?
** A) Zetto was in pain and not thinking clearly, and B) people describe things in ways they've never actually wxperimced before, I.E. "It feels like an ax just went through my arm". It's fairly common.

** The virus is derived from SOFDTI, who in turn is the core of the game and absorbs the thoughtwaves of everyone who is hooked into it. Assuming it can read the data of others like SOFDTI can (which is likely, since it latched onto Alpha by convincing him of his insecurities), it can feel the pain that others have experienced before.

** Only thing I can think of is that flight is a combat-based ability and for the sake of balance and not abusing the game world, can't be used outside of combat. Zetto had superjump hacks that let him jump up onto a really tall building, so honestly you got me. Sanctuary is likely a special case, disabling all your abilities for being a social region. I get the idea Webmaster was slightly aware.

** Alternatively, she was verifying the Dragon Bug head's continued existence in Nylocke' character model.

* So, Episode 10 reveals that [[spoiler: Kirbopher is actually Zetto, and that he has been working with Kizuna, as Tigerlily, and been hiring the hackers this entire time in order to extract the virus from Alpha and contain it.]] In order to do this, they needed either of the absorption items presented in order to make a program to absorb the virus, and apparently only needed to come into contact with one for a short period of time in order to get the necessary data, as Zetto shows. They also needed the purple flames to weaken the virus WHILE absorbing it, which they gave to Flamegirl for...some reason. And for some other reason, they didn't want this getting out, even though Zetto has connections to the Netkings, and could probably get their help on it. So, if all they needed was to take some data from one of the weapons, why did [[spoiler:Kirb]] not explain this to GC when he got the Drain Edge back in the second episode? The hackers, as many have pointed out, aren't so much threats as they are annoyances, so it's not like he'd have much to explain in terms of why he's working with them at that point other than "They're helping me get rid of that weird power Alpha has, and I know for a fact that it's dangerous, and I need the use of that weapon for a little bit". And getting the needed absorption code that soon would mean they wouldn't have to give up the purple flames for whatever reason, thus making the development of the program go faster, and the actual extraction go much smoother, because they'd have a way of suppressing the virus as they absorbed it. Plus, it would be a lot simpler than trying over-complicated plots to steal the shield or just randomly pissing off the virus like they did in Episodes 5 and 7.

[[WMG: Nylocke's purpose as the Dragon Bug's head]]

* At no point was there an explanation for why Nylocke was needed to form the head of the Dragon Bug. Flamegirl's purpose has been made clear, her holding the anti-virus, but Nylocke is never been stated as a target of Kizuna or Zetto before that point. What is it that made him the only person that could be used for the head? What specifications are needed for it? How does he contribute? No explanation whatsoever.

Considering Zetto also describes it as a digital disease and an error, I'd say he was being dramatic. That said, it's not unusual for things described as viruses in fiction to behave in ways that don't quite fit the definition.

* No matter how many times I rewatch the series I ask if TOME is the worlds most popular video game how come (aside from a production stand point) how come there was only 16 or 32 teams was there a random drawing or something?

something?
** There were preliminaries off-screen to narrow it down. Still would've been nice to see more of them though.
