[[folder:You aided in the assassination of the President, Agent Harper? You're free to go.]]
* Helena should be behind bars awaiting execution for treason, assassination, and terrorism by the end of the game, or forced into hiding from the CIA for the rest of her life. The US government is not going to care that she was blackmailed; as a Secret Service agent she signed up knowing the risks and the stakes. Even if they consider her efforts in killing Simmons that ''might'' bump her up to life in federal prison. Goddamn ''Leon'' was treated more harshly after the events of Raccoon City and he was innocent!

** Piers makes it pretty clear when he gets the dose he shot up with that it seems to be a different strain. That, and unlike other C-virus infectees, he did so entirely voluntarily, and was aware what would happen to him. So that combined with Japanese force of will tropes, pretty much.

Updated response to folder: ("I hate my dad, but I hate you even more for killing him!")

*** It's not that Jake loved his dad, it's the lack of closure. Now that Wesker is dead, Jake will no longer be able to confront his father and ask him why he abandoned him and his mom all those years ago. Jake's mercenary lifestyle and quest for fortune seem to stem from a childhood of poverty and hardships;if his dad was part of a successful pharmaceutical company at the time, why couldn't he had at least left them something so he and his mom didn't have to scrape. I'm assuming he also has plenty of other questions he wanted to ask his dad but will now be forever a mystery.

* So Deborah and Chris' squadmates get infected with the C-Virus and transform, yet are immediately hostile to people that, moments before, they considered their friends and allies. Yet Piers is able to transform and not go completely berserk? What causes Piers to still want to help out Chris, his commanding officer for at least 3 years, while Deborah is more than willing to try and kill her sister Helena that she has known most of her life?

*** All these handwaves would work if Jake had a previous "love-hate" relationship with Wesker, but when he angrily confronts Chris it's literally been a few hours since he knew Wesker was his dad.

***The biological machinegun was a bit too much, though.

*** Absolutely this. To reiterate the point, C4 and similar modern explosives were specifically designed to be metastable and safe to handle. You can grab a block of C4, hit it with a sledgehammer, stick it on a microwave, shoot it with a gun, douse it with gas and light it, and nothing will make it explode.

** Maybe Chris didn't want Jake going after Sheva too? Just because he has a death wish doesn't mean he wants to take other people down with him to.

** I assumed it was due to Jake injecting himself with the C-Virus shot, as he shares his fathers Virus resistant genes, it really did work as a "peformance booster" like the mercs were told it was, but we barely ever see him use it on anything larger than a J'avo, which most characters seem to punch out with relative ease, so him being able to punch out Ustanak seems more a showoff of the boost.

** Uroboros isnt a parasite; it's an RNA-based virus derived from Progenitor. Wesker never had antibodies that could fight any virus; he just had c-virus antibodies like jake had. Carla and j'avos were just guessing about him having antibodies that could fight off any virus but in truth he just had antibodies for c-virus.
