*** Also confirmed as meaning "sick ''people''" by KaiserNeko [=KaiserNeko=] in the Creator Commentary for Episode 34.

** The original two movies were written way before the series began and, both technically and practically, are not Creator/TeamFourStar material. The only writer from TFS involved in the writing was Lanipator, and his input in the scripts wasn't as extensive as it is in the series (of which he writes with KaiserNeko and Creator/Takahata101). Thus, while the movies share a writer and a few actors, they are not considered (by the team) to be part of the series. This is why you'll see a vastly different characterization for both Gohan and Goku, and varying differences with the rest of the cast. It's also why they do not call their latest movie release, Dead Zone, a remake of the original; though it does contain a single reference with a minor character.

** Lanipator wasn't aiming for an imitation, but rather a voice that emphasizes both weakness and cowardice, Notice how [=KaiserNeko=] originally was going to voice Cell during the breakdowns, it was a straighter imitation than [=Takahata101=], but at the same time, [=Takahata101=] puts a better spin on it.

** the core 3 discuss the controversy around this in the commentary for this episode. They confirm that in part it had to do with what was discussed above, that standing by and doing nothing in the name of pacifism is wrong, but also that 16 was being intentionally cruel because he needed Gohan to mentally break and become powerful enough to kill Cell. It is of course unfair to make a child fight, but there was nothing fair about the situation to begin with, and crying about how unfair it was wasn't going to save anyone.

Widget Series has been renamed to Quirky Work as per TRS (it's also YMMV).

* Okay, guys. Episode of Bardock. Why are all the proto-Saiyans named after rappers? And why do they all sound like Kermit The Frog? I've never watched any non-abridged Dragon Ball, so I'm not sure if there's something in it that they're making fun of, or if TFS are just going through a WidgetSeries phase.

** In HFIL, Jeice makes a remark to the effect that none of the Ginyu Force consider Guldo their friend. (Jeice also said "Guldo, well, he was Guldo" when trying to cheer up Burter, which further implies his "friends" didn't like him either.)

** I always assumed it was a reference to the old bumper sticker written on the barrel. "If you are reading this, you are too close."

** If I recall correctly, they mention in one of their Commentary episodes (can't recall which one) that it's a popular sports drink.
