For example, in the episode where the various pets got oozed, Fiona's rabbit became a reptilian kangaroo-like creature unlike anything in the fossil record, and in the finale, a group of puppies became giant dogs with spikes and fangs. WTF?

(The fact that velociraptors are from the Cretaceous, meaning the Jurassic and Triassic dinosaurs weren't around anymore is a separate puzzle.) There were sharks in the time of dinosaurs. A shark going through that ooze should have become something like Megalodon, not a mosasaur.
