*** Well, the Witch says, she's had "too many unhappy customers", which means that, in general, people who seek her aren't very specific in what they ''mean" or, alternatively, she gives her spells but it's ''up to the customers'' what they do with/use it next, in which case, things going sideways was either because of a major character flaw on the user' part (like Mor'du) or because the user didn't think it through (Merida). Though, in Merida's case, you could argue that it did the job.

The first step to repairin' the bond betwixt Elinor and Merida was by mending the tapestry but, in the process, after doing this, Merida acknowledges that she was wrong in her part of the argument and Elinor vice versa.

**Mer takes after her father more.

**"Ancient" in itself means old, ''distantly'' old but "old" nonetheless. To answer another point, ancient traditions are hard to break, yes, which is a reason why a war almost started when Merida refused to pick a suitor.

***Fergus was a bear hunter and she didn't want to chance him killing Elinor. Also, how ''exactly'' would y'all explain that you and your mother got into an argument, you foun' a witch in the woods who gave you a spell, and, now, your mom's a bear?
