** His suit in the first film was bulky and stiff because of how much tech was crammed into it that allowed him to fight on Aquaman's level. You can even hear the machinery whirring when he moves. In this movie, his suit is just a wetsuit with the helmet, backpack, and wrist launcher being his only gadgets - the enhancement comes from the Black Trident. He even goes to punch Aquaman after Kordax saps the power to take over Orm, and Arthur catches the punch and knocks him out easily, because he's no longer enhanced.
