Other than possibly being revenge for her accidentally destroying his house, there is no clear motivation for framing her. In fact, given that he is established in this version as a ruthless OpportunisticBastard looking for any way to increase his social standing, it would be far more beneficial to him if he revealed the Knave of Hearts as the true culprit.
