* Meryl is arguing with Roberto in the car, with him refusing to acknowledge her as anything but "newbie". When she shows him her paper (by slapping it directly over his face), he simply takes it and uses it as tissue, which greatly annoys her.

* Meryl tying up Vash with some rope, saying she would only turn him in after getting her scoop. When Vash informs her they can rest at a diner nearby, she starts dragging the poor man across the sand as he thrashes around like a fish out of water. When he proves later he could have slipped out at any time it gets even funnier -- he likely went with it just because he wanted to be silly.

* Vash tries to brush off his skills as [[BlatantLies pure dumb luck]] and wonders aloud if he should try and hit the casino. The look of utter disbelief Meryl gives him at the obviousness of his lie is hilarious.

* Meryl throws a noose for Vash to grab, and Roberto pulls a lever to basically toss Vash up in the air. Vash is crying and whimpering as he's pulled up and barely avoiding the gunfire. The two reporters try to quickly crawl away only for Vash to fall on top of them after being launched into the air.

* Some sand people enjoying the bug they're currently roasting watch as a mysterious figure walks through the desert. They comment on his dark suit and large cross on his back before joking he was a well prepared dead guy.

* Meryl complains about the heat, so Roberto tells her a spooky story, and then asks if that was sufficiently [[{{Pun}} chilling]]. The evil little cackle he does afterwards just sells it.

* It's amusing to watch Wolfwood angrily spit out ''"I'm Nicholas the Punisher!"'' in rejection of Vash calling him by his name and seeing him in a good light, only for the title card displaying ''#07 Wolfwood'', to pop up a second later.
* Wolfwood fiercely declares they're going to stop the cannon ''and'' the vehicle from destroying the orphanage. Meryl asks him how and Wolfwood, with exactly the same attitude, declares he has ''no idea''. But they'll do it with ''guts''.

* Legato and Zazie see the large sandstorm approaching the Steamer and Legato asks if Zazie was the one who created it. Zazie's voice sounds absolutely dumbfounded at how Legato thinks they have this capability. They then ask if they can go home now, as if they were [[PunchClockVillain punching out on the clock]].

* In the English dub, Roberto is deeply unimpressed by all of Knives's dramatics and refers to him as "Hundreds Spoons" while talking with Zazie. No one reacts, which makes it even better.
* Vash accidentally alerting the police to his presence by ''sneezing'' and coming face-to-face with Chuck Lee, the police captain from Episode 1. Their shared look of OhCrap is priceless. Wolfwood even hits Vash over the head, calling him a dipshit in the dub.

* While the vines start to slowly spread out into July, Chuck Lee can be seen still holding his bowl of noodles and looking up at the impending disaster with confusion.
** Also the knee-jerk response of the military to start shooting at the vines that they have no idea of. Very human? Yes. Very fun? Also yes.
* As Rem presents the geranium flower to Vash and Nai, Vash is upset when he's told that the flower isn't edible.

* Vash slowly floats down to the ground to face off with Nai, and the shot shows Meryl koala wrapped around Vash's leg.

* Vash throws Knives into a wall and then proceeds to somewhat slowly reload his gun, making Knives hear every click. Vash has been shown to be able to reload at an inhumanly fast speed, so he was just doing this to taunt Knives.

* In such an emotionally intense moment, there's something hysterical about Knives shrieking in outrage over Vash being unable to think of a better plan for co-existing with humanity than the one he's using after more than a hundred years. There is honest to God a beat of silence while Knives just ''stares in aghastment'' while they're hanging off a ticking bomb.

** An animator has confirmed that the fight was indeed choreographed to be an extremely dramatic and elaborate sibling squabble. The penultimate season showdown is ''genuinely'' two humanoid nukes going at each other like pissy children.

** As Vash winds up to throw his brother, the camera zooms in while Knives starts talking as if he's going to launch into an argument... but Vash just ignores him and hurls him bodily into a bookshelf. Knives slides down with his limbs splayed out like a bird hitting glass.
* To try and find a safer place to dispose the cube, Vash jumps out the window and consciously avoids the decorative metal July symbol, sensibly tucking his face, arms and legs into his coat while he safely breaks the glass with his foot before leaping through. Knives, on the other hand, roars and slams his entire body into it like he hates it personally, flipping the desk that Vash nimbly vaulted over, smashing a giant hole straight through the symbol and the surrounding glass in a starfish pose like the Kool-Aid-Man, and is visibly stunned by the impact before he drops from the air like he's in a Loony Tunes short, screaming on the way down.

** As the two observe the battle, Wolfwood immediately ducks as Knives's blades just graze past his head. He then decides that they should probably not stick around for much longer.

* In such an emotionally intense moment, there's something hysterical about Knives outright shrieking in indignation over Vash being unable to think of a better plan for co-existing with humanity than the one he's using after more than a hundred years. There is honest to God a beat of silence while Knives just ''stares in aghastment'' while they're hanging off a ticking bomb.

* In the dub, Roberto explains the origin of E.G.'s name being because he finds killing easy, and then editorialises that it would have been "[[IncrediblyLamePun E.Z.]]", but he "had to add his ''stupid'' autograph."

* Vash's introduction. He's been hung up by one of the gangs and his arm comes off when Meryl hesitatingly grabs it. In the dub, he jokingly asks, "[[JustForPun Need a hand]]?" Before she grabs his hand, Vash even makes a brief peace sign as a greeting.
** Then as bugs fly past, Vash slowly spins around letting out a [[EvilLaugh dark, maniacal laugh]]. Agreeing that he's a bit creepy, Roberto and Meryl both begin to walk away from him. Vash then drops the act and desperately pleads for them to cut him loose. In the English dub he says "[[JustForPun Don't leave me hangin', friends]]!"

* As a swarm of bugs fly through the air, Roberto cheerfully reports to Meryl how those bugs are a source of protein out in the desert. Meryl looks like she's trying not to throw up the entire conversation.

* In the dub, Meryl tries to break the ice between Wolfwood and Vash by jokingly asking if one of them stole the other's food.

* Wolfwood apparently smoked even as a kid. In a flashback after he takes a puff of a small piece of tobacco, he hands it to Livio who coughs it up. Their caretaker finds them and begins to scold them, leading the two kids to run off laughing.

* The WaitWhat expressions on Meryl and Roberto's faces when Luidna and Brad tell the group they've known Vash for 150 years.

* Roberto goes on a whole speech to Luidna and pulls out a cigarette for him to smoke. Just as he takes a drag, Luida informs him that there's no smoking allowed on the ship, which he immediately chokes on. Again, after they're kidnapped by Zazie and find themselves in some unidentified place, Roberto's reaction is glee that he can probably smoke there.
* Wolfwood clearly not used to riding a steed as he flails about and barely holding onto his cross in the process.

* To continue off where the last episode left, Wolfwood is still struggling to stay on his steed as he wildly thrashes around.

* Roberto takes a couple shots at Elendira's needles and is quite surprised that it actually worked in stopping them.

* After the dramatic prologue sequence, it is somehow hilarious yet fitting that the ''very first voice you hear'' in the Japanese voice track is Creator/MasayaOnosaka, who was Vash's original Japanese voice actor in the 1998 anime. He has been cast into ''Stampede'' as the news radio DJ, now ironically broadcasting to the world to be on the lookout for "Dangerous Wanted Fugitive Vash the Stampede".

* Meryl asks why he doesn't stock up on more bullets, with Vash claiming he could buy two slices of pizza (or in the dub, two dozen donuts) for the price of one bullet.
* The driver they are holding hostage tells Nebraska he promised to let him go once he drove them far enough. Having enough of the man, Nebraska tells Gosef to get rid of him. Gofsef's hand punches the driver out the window, and Nebraska apparently [[DidNotThinkThisThrough realized at that moment neither of them really knew how to drive the car]].

* While dodging Gofsef's grapple-hand, Vash performs a beautiful pirouette. Even Gosef seems pissed off about it.

* Wolfwood hands Vash the bill, and the price is so high it causes Vash to freeze up and slowly showing the price to Meryl. The total bill comes up to $$20,000. Meryl immediately calls Wolfwood a rip-off since they didn't ask him to perform the burial services.

* Wolfwood teasing Meryl by shoving the insect meat into her face, while she attempts to scramble away and keep her mouth shut.

* Deciding he'd like to join the group, Wolfwood immediately makes himself at home by snagging one of Roberto's cigarettes. The older man even tries to admonish Wolfwood for this.

** The multiple poses the outlaws do range from a familiar force pose to them making hearts with their fingers. If you look close, one's making the heart with the fingers of a random dead guy.
