* When Cotta shows up to take away William, he genuinely asks Jupiter and Bob if they actually found worthy canidtates for their detective team. When they tell him no, he seems pretty disappointed because it would be useful to have more detectives like them.
* Both Jupiter and Bob joking about feeling "sorry" for William because he wanted to be [[TheDitz Peter]] of all people.

* In order to lure out Peter's stalker, Peter was forced to leave the Three Investigators and Jupe and Bob send up interviews for a replacement. Cue some very interesting characters applying for the position:
** A boy with buck-teeth who seems to be really interested in guns and becomes confused when Jupiter tells him that they only fight with logic, thinking that it's a model of gun.
** A guy name Steve who is even more of a DumbMuscle and DumbJock stereotype than Pete superficially is. He is pretty good at kickboxing and even demonstrates in front of a very startled Jupe and Bob.
** Dick Perry randomly shows up and says that he could join them and become the 'sole' detective and that the boys should go play soccer.
** A guy named [[Literature/TheFamousFive George shows up who has a cousin and another cousin who would like to join]], which would become a total of five people. Oh, and they have a dog too.
