* Varrick at the top of the episode seems like he's just being his Cloudcuckoolander self regarding a shipment of his, but then clarifies he's ''not'' joking:

** When Shinobi first grabs another audience member, the other guy has a look on his face that clearly says, "What the hell are you doing? Let go of me." We cut back to them, and he's got a grin on his face even bigger than Shinobi's.

*** This is even funnier considering the episode's ending, where Korra decides to keep the spirit portals open, making it a case of TemptingFate.

** Just a few minutes later, we find out why he's called Two-Toed Ping, when he takes off his shoes: turns out he has two ''extra'' toes, and ''there was already a Twelve-Toed Ping'' on the other end of Republic City!

* In the beginning, Bumi is telling Kya that he once beat an ''[[DishingOutDirt earthbender]]'' in a rock-throwing contest.

* Bolin is outraged when Mako and Asami seem to be dating again, just days after he and Korra broke up. Especially since a large part of the fanbase would see that as rather karmic.
* Bumi gets his own rabbit dragonfly spirit companion. He even calls it "Bum-Ju", AKA Bumi Junior.
* Even if he is an evil MagnificentBastard, Varrick remains funny as hell. He invites Mako to his room for some interrogation due to him suspecting Varrick's plans. When Mako enters and sees there's a hot coal bed between him and Varrick, he's all ready to resist torture...

* The entirety of the Nuktuk movie is [[SoBadItsGood cheesy enough to be melted between two slices of bread and be called a grilled cheese]], and that's exactly what makes it hilarious.
