** The beginning of the stream is an EscalatingPunchline of surprises: Frank's choice ''La-Mulana'' (which he's been trying to get Jon to play for years) wins a blind poll, then LetsPlay/SuperJeenius returns as a co-comm for the first time since 2018 (during which time, as Jon comments, people kept asking him "Where's Jake, is he dead?") and ''then'' LetsPlay/DeceasedCrab, one of the original Something Awful LP'ers alongside Jon (and Lucah's other inspiration to be an LP'er besides Jon himself, though it doesn't come up) arrives in the chat due to being the one who originally popularised the game in the first place. ** One of the games that wound up being selected for the cookie was ''[[VideoGame/MarioParty Mario Party 2]]'', where Jon selected Luigi as his playable character and Wario as his partner. Later on in the night, ''[[VideoGame/MarioKartDoubleDash Mario Kart: Double Dash]]'' is selected by the cookie. Jon chooses Koopa and Paratroopa as his team...and his rivals that plague him through the Special Cup? Luigi and Wario. What makes this funny is that the odds of this specific duo showing up as the rivals are '''1 in 306''', or approximately ''0.326%''.

* Fortune Cookie: Smoke Alarm Free Zone Edition
* High Risk Fortune Cookie: At The Mercy of Fate Edition
** The second game rolled for the night was ''Mega Man 8: Anniversary Edition'', causing Jon to wonder [[https://www.twitch.tv/protonjon/clip/CrunchyTalentedEagleDuDudu why the cookie has been giving him Mega Man games lately]].
*** The last game of the night ends up being ''Mega Man 2''... for the Game Boy. Jon continues to wonder about the cookies's seemingly love for Mega Man, with people wondering if the month of January was going to be mostly Mega Man games.
** A discussion of [[MakesJustAsMuchSenseInContext horse-flavored mouthwash]] leads into [=HeIsAnEvilGenius=] recounting how he [[https://www.twitch.tv/protonjon/clip/TrustworthyBillowingBearTinyFace was inspired by an old Listerine commercial]]:
--->'''[=HeIsAnEvilGenius=]:''' "They were like 'Listerine is an action hero for your gums!'"\\
'''Jon:''' "Oh I remember those commercials! Yeah~!"\\
'''[=HeIsAnEvilGenius=]:''' "Yeah! And it was the dumbest thing, but then I just started going to Walmarts and bringing Listerine to the movie section, putting them on the shelves, because of that commercial..."\\
'''Jon:''' "What?!"\\
'''[=HeIsAnEvilGenius=]:''' "And -- and one thing led to another, and eventually, it got to the point where I actually had a Listerine poster on my wall in my bedroom..."\\
''[Jon completely loses it laughing]''\\
'''[=HeIsAnEvilGenius=]:''' "I'm serious! This movie theater magazine that I had, had an ad for Listerine that looked like the poster to a movie, and it had, like, this big Listerine action figure, and the gum disease villain, and I cut it out of the magazine and put it on my wall as a poster."
*** This is combined with the Mega Man theme when fanartists start drawing pictures of a Listerine-themed Robot Master. What follows is a bizarre ContrivedCoincidence as Jon looks at a bonus on ''Mega Man 8'' showing art concepts for proposed Robot Masters submitted by fans at the time the game was made...and one of them is, indeed, mouthwash and toothpaste themed.
** The complexity of the lore of different media franchises is discussed, with Jon pointing out that ''Tekken 3'''s lore consistents mainly of people being thrown into volcanoes. Repeatedly.
** The chat is impressed to learn that [=HeIsAnEvilGenius=] is the man behind Creator/PeterChimaera of "AndThenJohnWasAZombie" intentionally terrible fanfic fame, and begins trying to persuade him to write a sequel.
* Fortune Cookie: A Barrel Full of Barrels (Note: May Not Contain Barrels) Edition
** In an odd bit of serendipity, one of the minigames of ''[[VideoGame/WarioWare WarioWare: Touched!]]'' asks him to "[[https://www.twitch.tv/protonjon/clip/DistinctBoxyFinchSaltBae Spell EGG!]]" Jon and his co-comms can't help but marvel, wondering what the odds were of that.
** The final game of the stream is none other than the [[UsefulNotes/GameBoyAdvance GBA]] ''Manga/YuYuHakusho: Spirit Detective''. When Jon starts it up, [[https://www.twitch.tv/protonjon/clip/GiantCogentMangoPoooound the first file is named Dan]], leading him to wonder if [=DanTheEngima=] gave him his copy.
*** Dan himself soon arrives and confirms that [[https://www.twitch.tv/protonjon/clip/DaintyEsteemedMarjoramVoHiYo no, he actually]] ''[[NotMeThisTime wasn't responsible]]'' for giving him the game. Making the file names nothing more than sheer, dumb coincidence.
* High Risk Fortune Cookie: Have I Played These Before? Edition
** A training montage in ''Film/{{Rocky}}'' leads to Jon [[https://www.twitch.tv/protonjon/clip/ModernSpotlessPuddingRaccAttack crashing the game via punching]].
** After being offered ''[[Literature/TheBerenstainBears The Berenstain Bears Camping Adventure]]'', Jon decides that, despite his [[TemptingFate prior request for short games]], he's going to use one of his three rerolls of the night to get something else. [[https://www.twitch.tv/protonjon/clip/SavageViscousDuckRlyTho What does the cookie offer him next]]? ''[[VideoGame/XenobladeChronicles2 Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna - The Golden Country]]'', taking him from one extreme to the other. Followed by Jon burning ''another'' roll off on ''[[CallBack Bill Lambeer's Combat Basketball]]''.
* Fortune Cookie: Colosseum Countdown Edition
** Jon is playing ''VideoGame/DisasterReport 4: Summer Memories''. He finds a depressed person, and someone triggers [[https://clips.twitch.tv/AmusedDullSnailSmoocherZ a very unfitting alert]].
* Fortune Cookie: "I Forgot Today's Subtitle" Edition:
** Near the start of the stream, Jon plays ''{{VideoGame/D}}''. He gets through the first disc, and due to a mod choice returns to finish the rest as the last game of the night. HilarityEnsues throughout, particularly due to the game's cheesey (especially by modern standards) nature. Highlights include:
*** Jon finds a 'slot machine' that spins a number between 00 and 99, gives it a couple spins, and gets a [[https://www.twitch.tv/protonjon/clip/GorgeousFancyGoshawkDxCat perfectly-timed alert]].
*** Jon returns to the spinner after finding the number he needs to get. He explains how he believes the puzzle works, gives the machine a spin, and [[https://www.twitch.tv/protonjon/clip/PrettyOddKaleLeeroyJenkins immediately lands on the target number]].
*** Jon and his co-comms constantly mock the main character's slow movement speed and bizarrely-loud walking-on-stairs sound effect.
*** Jon's familiar with the start of the game due to having played it on stream before. Not long after he gets past what he's done previously, [[https://www.twitch.tv/protonjon/clip/UgliestAliveMonkeyOpieOP a surprise moment]] catches him ''completely'' off-guard.
*** The best moment comes near the end, where Jon triggers a [[https://www.twitch.tv/protonjon/clip/ShakingMuddyWasabiDoggo particularly plot-relevant cutscene]] and ''completely loses it'' at the sudden reveal.
---->'''Jon:''' WAIT, WHAT?! ''[laughing]''\\
'''Co-Comm:''' Excuse me?\\
'''Jon:''' ''[still laughing]'' The D ''does'' stand for [[spoiler:Drac-!]] Oh my god! Oh my god, ''the D does stand for'' [[spoiler:''Dracula''!]] I'm waking up Reese I'm so sorry but holy shit!
* Fortune Cookie: A Downward Spiral of Sorts Edition
** Jon decided to have [=FamilyJules=] a co-comm. This might have been a mistake as Jon quickly looses control.
*** Jules' first request is [[VideoGame/PumkinLand "Hungry Pumkin"]], aka the game that gave us the MemeticMutation of "Give me the [food item]!" and "No! I don't want that!" For the rest of the stream, Jon continues to spam Pumkin saying "Noodles!" after someone sent him the sound clip.
*** [=FamilyJules'=] story during ''Mario's Picross 2''. Said story involved LetsPlay/MasaeAnela, which ended up joining the call and suggesting ''[[VideoGame/KatamariDamacy Beautiful Katamari]]'' as the next game, which won with 70% of the vote.
* Fortune Cookie: Hot-Blooded Video Games Edition
** One Egg is simply [[https://www.twitch.tv/protonjon/clip/PeacefulSolidBaboonVoHiYo a thirty-second clip of]] one of the enemies from ''VideoGame/SeriousSam'' screaming. One of the co-comms and several members of the chat note that it sounds uncannily like LetsPlay/TomFawkes.
** The Pinball jokes continue, with both ''VideoGame/PokemonPinball: Ruby & Sapphire'' and ''Mario Pinball Land'' cracking the Cookie. During the former, one chatter suggests Jon try to tempt Reese with a ''Franchise/DanganRonpa'' pinball table, [[https://www.twitch.tv/protonjon/clip/PlayfulOriginalJamCoolCat pinging her immediate interest]].
--->'''Jon:''' You are all horrible people.\\
'''Reese:''' Wait, is there actually one?\\
'''Jon:''' Oh, [[PrecisionFStrike for fuck's sake]]...
* Fortune Cookie: Press Start To Stop Edition
** Much like ''Super Mario Bros. 3'' way back when, ''VideoGame/BadDudes'' [[https://www.twitch.tv/protonjon/clip/SpikySmoggyLouseOMGScoots turns into a scrambled mess]], with the opening text first appearing as long rows of 'ZZZZZZZZ':
--->'''Jon:''' Guys, are we playing as 4L367 or [=KLJIK7J=]?
* Fortune Cookie: Symphony of Glitches Edition
** The first game rolled after ''Mr. Driller: Drill Land''...is ''Canada Hunt'' for the Wii. While Jules and Jerod joke about Canada in front of Jon, the game is effortlessly given a mercy kill and wins the poll.
*** It's not just that poll either. ''EVERY'' poll of the stream ends in a mercy kill, and the frequent LampshadeHanging after the final poll (and the VOD description) proves that this isn't lost on anyone.
** Jon reveals the new TRG site, with biographies for each member of the team. The title given to Jon on his bio? [[BornUnlucky "The Master of Misfortune"]]. When Jerod asks for his wife Erika's title, Chatia's says [[OnlySaneMan "The Voice of Reason"]].
* Fortune Cookie: A Rollercoaster of Emotions and Rollercoasters Edition
** In a complete turn from the above mentioned "Symphony of Glitches Edition", every cookie ends in a game getting a 1% rule, followed by that game winning the next cookie by 1%.
** A clip from the previous stream's playthrough of ''House of the Dead: Overkill'' becomes the latest madlib meme, with Jon getting ''over 20 egg submissions'' that are edits of the video with different music.
** An egg submission uses the intro to the bootleg game ''Ronaldinho Soccer 97''. During that time, [[https://youtu.be/ylUjqorFzLg?t=22780 someone randomly sets off the Wario Landaldihno Bucket 64 alert]]. Jon is utterly baffled at the coincidence, as it's a random chance which Wario alert plays and there are now hundreds of them.
* Fortune Cookie: Game Gear's In The Mix Now Edition
** As the title suggests, Jon is now able to stream Game Gear games, and celebrates by beating the Japan-only, extremely ambitious and impressive Game Gear port of ''Gunstar Heroes'', one of his favourite Mega Drive games.
** During the above, Jon is raided by Heisanevilgenius Tom but thinks the game has no pause function (because Start is used to switch weapons) so can't run countermeasures. He somehow manages to miss the chat telling him how to pause every time he looks at it, and in the end Tom has to break into Discord to tell him live on air.
** ''Pac-Land'' for the [=TurboGrafx-16=] somehow comes up back to back on two successive Cookies, leading Chat to vote for it as 'a sign'.
* High Risk Fortune Cookie: Who Knows? Edition
** [=HyperCole64=] sent in a video of himself ordering "5 bombs" over the phone after Jon played the NES version of ''VideoGame/{{Bomberman}}''. It turned out to be a setup for him to drop a gift sub bomb to 5 people at the perfect moment while the video was playing.
** Jon's attempt to roll the final game of the night.
*** The first game he rolls is ''VideoGame/ResidentEvil5'', which gets a re-roll because of the next stream.
*** The second game is ''VideoGame/StrongBadsCoolGameForAttractivePeople Episode 3: Baddest of the Bands''; Jon re-rolls because he doesn't want to start in the middle of the series.
*** The third game is ''VideoGame/MetalSlug: 1st Mission''; Jon vetoes it because he can't stream Neo Geo Pocket Color games[[note]]Jon's rule is that any game that can't be streamed, either because he can't stream the console or for copyright reasons, gets vetoed without using a re-roll[[/note]].
*** The fourth game is ''Master of the Monster Lair''; the consensus is to use the third and final re-roll.
*** The fifth game is ''VideoGame/PitFighter'' for the UsefulNotes/AtariLynx, a console which he can't stream.
*** The sixth game is a game based on ''Series/MightyMorphinPowerRangers'' for the Sega CD, which he can't stream due to copyright reasons.
*** Before the seventh game, Jon accidentally presses the button to play the ''Series/FamilyFeud'' buzzer instead of the usual drum-roll. By ''sheer coincidence'', the seventh and final game is ''Family Feud 2012 Edition'' for the Wii.
* Fortune Cookie: Jamming with the Band Edition
** The first game of the night ''would'' have been ''Super Mario 3D All Stars''...but Jon's copy hadn't arrived yet. Before stream started, one of the mods reminded Jon that it was the two-year anniversary of Bowsette. So the first game of the night promptly became ''VideoGame/NewSuperMarioBrosU Deluxe'', playing as Toadette.
** The second cookie had some issues. One of the games that popped up was the Vita game ''Psychedelica of the Ashen Hawk'', which was rerolled cause he couldn't play that system. After that was ''The Last Remanant'', an RPG. And then after that was ''[[VideoGame/PokemonRedAndBlue Pokemon Blue]]''. Finally, ''[[VideoGame/PokemonMysteryDungeonRescueTeam Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team]]'' is rolled and Jon gives up despite it being a tactics RPG. It passes ''VideoGame/AmongUs'' while everyone's talking, getting the win. Jon ultimately ends up playing ''Rescue Team DX'' (after a fumble where he accidentally says ''VideoGame/PokemonSuperMysteryDungeon'').
