Wielding his [[DropTheHammer enormous war hammer]], he delivers first blow to the stomach to double his foe over, another one to the back to send them on all fours, and then ''swings it like a golf club'' against their head hard enough to make the head and spinal column ''explode backwards out of the defeated kombatant's lower back.'' Simply put: Shao Kahn gives ''Tiger Woods'' a run for his money!

** Occasionally does Joker bring out a Batman-styled Scarface doll with a Gatling gun in its mouth — Joker even mimics Batman's GutturalGrowler voice as well and can have conversations with it. In other words, Joker had managed to make Batman kill — the LiteralMinded way.

*** An equally funny second interpretation: Joker actually WAS trying to do a friendship using his trusty BangFlagGun, and Batman chucked the Batarang at him just to be sure he didn't get any funny ideas. As such, Joker's anger at Batman is that Bruce ''[[NotMeThisTime didn't trust him enough to play by the game's rules]]'', and for good reason. ** Raiden's Light Balance-based laser light rave party is amazing in itself but more importantly, it marks the long awaited return of yet another ''Mortal Kombat'' fan favorite — '''KIDD THUNDER!!'''
** Johnny dons a top hat, grabs a cane and breaks into a Vaudeville dance! If you see closely, he is also struggling to keep his final pose. Bonus points for being a reference to [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ge0HEYTsX_A Michigan J. Frog]], a famous ''Warner Bros.'' character.

** Shao Kahn himself using his hammer in a strength test carnival game that just so happens to be labelled [[RunningGag Test Your Might]]. He aces it so hard, the bell at the top (labelled "Outworld Oddities") breaks in two! Yes, this is basically an updated version of [[VideoGame/MortalKombat3 Sektor]]'s Frienship as well, but he never split the bell, did he? Addtionally, the rankings on the game: the lowest just says "You Suck" and the highest, naturally, is "Shao Kahn". And even more, this shows that Shao Kahn has gone NotSoAboveItAll, previously when he's the announcer, he's bewildered with Friendships ("[[VideoGame/MortalKombatII Friendship! Friendship!?]] [[VideoGame/MortalKombat3 Again??]]"), but now, he's joining in the friendship fun.

** Jacqui beats up a Kronika inflatable toy. Which comes right back and hits her as she tries to laugh and strike a cool pose. Said toy even speaks in squeaky Kronika lines too.

** Shang Tsung is once again [[VideoGame/MortalKombatII all about rainbows]]. What sells it is the massive grin on his face (and the foliage blooming under his feet) as he does. Even before he creates the rainbow, he briefly rolls his eyes in annoyance, as if forced to be friends with his opponent against his will.

** The Joker ''tries'' to subvert this and ends up on the wrong end of a [[Franchise/{{Batman}} Batarang]]. He gripes to the off-screen Batman, then pulls out balloons as a halfhearted apology. And [[LeaningOnTheFourthWall offers the audience]] a quieter, possibly even genuine 'sorry' for not giving them what he knew they wanted. He then keeps glaring offscreen at Batman between forced smiles.

*** The other possibility is just as funny. Batman chucked a Batarang at Joker to remind him that he's supposed to be doing a Friendship and not a Fatality.

** Rambo decks himself out in gear, and finds himself in a laser tag shootout. Perhaps the funniest part is the fact that even here, Rambo looks as [[TheComicallySerious stern and serious as ever]], applying combat rolls and cover as if this was just a normal day on the frontlines for him.

* Honorable mention also goes to PC modding community: all these Friendships can be swapped between different characters, making overall results ''even funnier''. Netherrealm Studios themselves enjoyed this ''so much'' that they've implemented compatibility of facial expressions in order to avoid bizarre glitches.

** His "Acid Drop" move doesn't seem to fit when you do it normally: Erron hits the oponent in the stomach with the butt of his shotgun and shoots them while they are bent over. In the Amplified version, however, when they are bent over, he pulls out a bottle of zaterran acid, calmly opens it and proceeds to pour it on the oponent's head, while they have a fittingly panicked reaction.

* One of [=RoboCop's=] victory poses has him holding his now cuffed oponent against his patrol car. It's hilarious to see this extremely mundane method of defeating things like the revenants, Shao Kahn, Spawn or even literal gods like Cetrion.

*** His opponent's reaction to being finished off this way adds to the humor. The sunglasses land on the opponent's face, and he strikes a pose. After awkwardly shuffling for a bit, the opponent realizes that the sunglasses are about to blow up and lets out a brief OhCrap reaction before his head blows up. More on their last words can be read further below.

* The Terminator's second Fatality has him kick his victim away, leave, get on his motorcycle, and run his opponent into the air before blowing them to bits with his shotgun. When they see him coming, the majority of the roster has an OhCrap look, even characters like Shao Kahn and Noob. The one exception to this is the Terminator himself, whose expression [[TheStoic doesn't change at all]].

** Joker also offers to star in Johnny's next film, but Johnny turns him down too. [[MonsterClown Killer clowns]] are cliché, after all. Also, he's worried Joker will dice him up and [[Film/SilenceOfTheLambs serve him with Chianti and fava beans]].

You might also notice the heads to be squirted into are representations of the Kahns of outworld: Shao, Kotal, and Mileena (who happens to be the target Rain's aiming for).[[note]]Poor Onaga and Kitana.[[/note]]

** Another [[CrossestheLineTwice darkly humorous]] moment is when past Kung Lao meets his [[FutureMeScaresMe Revenant]], who [[WouldYouLikeToHearHowTheyDied details how Shao Kahn]] [[NeckSnap snapped his neck]]. Cue past Kung Lao putting his hand over his neck with the most uncomfortable look on his face the game can display. Even funnier? The past fighters were taken ''just before this could happen to past Kung Lao.'' No wonder he looks so mortified.
* When the young shaolin monks find themselves having to fight Geras.

* During the Sub-Zero[=/=]Scorpion chapter, at the start of the scene, we see Kuai Liang scoping out the Cyber Lin Kuei facility with his telescope, and [[EnemyRisingBehind Hanzo is sneaking up on him with his katana drawn]], with Kuai barely able to react. [[VitriolicBestBuds Cue Hanzo telling Kuai his skill is fading and the aforementioned shenanigans that ensue from there.]]

** A few moments intp the fight. Liu Kang pulls out his nunchaku and shows off a bit before just straight up hitting Geras in the face so hard and suddenly that he actually gets knocked back and stumbles a bit.

This does lead to another funny moment, where he [[ShieldBash uses the riot shield to plow through the Black Dragons]], giving a comical image of him still charging with almost half-a-dozen {{Mook}}s flailing as they're pushed back by him.

* In Scorpion's solo chapter, he's seeking out Kharon to help reach Kronika's Keep. He finds him in his shack about to be tortured by D'Vorah... who makes the mistake of showing her back to the door. Scorpion's CatchPhrase and SignatureMove follow in short order, tossing D'Vorah like a ragdoll out of the shack at 50MPH.

* At the beginning of Fujin's chapter, Nightwolf comments that Shang Tsung's minions were fools for following him. Sindel points out that ''they'' are following Shang Tsung right now; then adds that it's better than following Raiden, because in that case they would "surely die". The irony is that everyone present except Sindel ''is'' following Raiden's plan, and reacts without her noticing — Shang Tsung is visibly amused, while Nightwolf and Fujin exchange a worried look.

** Sindel trying to [[GlassShatteringSound break a wine glass]] with her [[MakeMeWannaShout screaming]] [[CameraAbuse and breaking the camera instead]]. She proceeds to drink the wine before breaking the glass the old fashioned way — by just tossing it on the ground. Her reaction to the camera breaking even suggests she was aiming for the camera the whole time!

* When the past Kung Lao and Liu Kang find out that the Netherrealm forces are trying to attack the Wu Shi Academy (in order to get at the Jinsei in the grotto below), Kung Lao says confidently that he doubts they will get past the trap, and anyways - [[EntertaininglyWrong his and Liu Kang's older counterparts are probably already dealing with them]]. Cut to Jacqui with the most [[CringeComedy hilarious grimace]] on her face before Cassie takes the two aside to explain.

Liu promptly deadpans that it's more likely Kung Lao simply did not attend class, which gets him a DeathGlare in return. Liu then gracefully leaps through the blades, telling Kung Lao to watch the pattern and pick his moment. Kung Lao glares at Liu with a "Really?" expression before smirking and [[CuttingTheKnot using his hat to block the blades]] before strolling through.
