* In the episode "Mr. Monk Goes to the Hospital", Monk, Stottlemeyer and Disher are investigating the murder of Dr. Graydon Whitcomb. A piece of a plastic seal is found that the hospital director identifies as coming from an oxygen tank in the geriatric ward. So they go up to the room in question and encounter Hank Johansen, an 82 year-old, bed-ridden invalid who is nonetheless tough as nails and takes an instant dislike to the DefectiveDetective. He eventually picks out Monk's nickname (the utter contempt in his voice it what truly makes it a [=CMoF=]): "I'm gonna call you "soft serve"! Like the ice cream! Soft and squishy!"

* "Mr. Monk Meets His Dad" ends on a heartwarming note, where Jack Sr. teaches Adrian how to ride a bike for the first time. It also adds a humorous moment, as this happens just as Ben Glaser has been led into the back of a squad car, and thus is looking at this scene before him, with an expression that could either be read as "the Hell am I looking at here?" or "I got busted for murder by a guy who can't ride a bike?".

** Later, Natalie tries even more unusual methods in a failed attempt to unfreeze Randy's attempt at the police station, including tickling him, trying to tackle him (he stands rock solid and doesn't even fall over), and finally sticking pencils up his nose, making him look like a standing human walrus with tusks). * In "[[Recap/MonkS2E10MrMonkAndThePaperboy Mr. Monk and the Paperboy]]", During his session with Doctor Kroger, the subject of sex comes up, and Kroger tries to get Monk to talk about whether he was "intimate" with Trudy. After a few minutes of stalling, we get this gem:
-->'''Dr. Kroger:''' Adrian, I'm your doctor, this is important. Now we have 20 minutes left, we can sit here and sing show tunes to each other or you can talk about your sex life, it's your call.
-->'''Adrian Monk:''' (after thinking it over for a moment, starts singing) [[Theatre/{{Camelot}} If ever I would leave you... it wouldn't be in Summer...]]
** The capper is when he reaches the end of the song, waits in silence for a moment, then starts again from the top.

* "Mr. Monk Gets Married": It's heartwarming to know that Randy cares enough about his mother to send her money every month. It's funny to know that she just spends it on Bingo and paintings of Jesus.

* "Mr. Monk and the Employee of the Month": Sharona and Monk's old partner, Joe Christie, meet in a diner and wait together for Monk:

to:

* In "[[Recap/MonkS3E6MrMonkAndTheGirlWhoCriedWolf Mr. Monk and the Girl who Cried Wolf,]]" there is a scene where Dr. Kroger is in his office talking. ** An AngryGuardDog has cornered Monk on top of a display when the detective sees a basket on one of the shelves askew. Monk throws a dog toy to distract the animal...and the scary Doberman that's been chasing him all over, barking and snarling, trots over happily to fetch it.
** During the same scene, Monk calls Sharona in hopes of getting help. When she picks up, she can only hear the Doberman barking ferociously on the other end. Her incredulous response is, "''Randy?''"

* "Mr. Monk and the Daredevil": When Harold appears to be a velcro fly performer called the Frisco Fly, Harold and his cousin Joey are approached by a kindergarten teacher and two of her kids, who have a drawing they want to show to Harold - it's a colored-pencil painting of Harold with the San Francisco skyline drawn behind him. Harold and Joey laugh at the fact that Harold's head is disproportionately sized on the photo. Not liking the fact that they are missing suspension cables from the Golden Gate Bridge, he draws them in with a Sharpie. But best of all, Joey then notices what is supposed to be a bird and says that the scale makes it incredibly long - over 20 feet. Harold says it looks like ''Film/{{Mothra}}'', and he and Joey promptly do hilarious ''Mothra'' impressions, terrifying the two kids.
-->'''Kindergarten Teacher:''' You're on the ''school board''?
-->'''Harold Krenshaw:''' Yeah.

** When Stottlemeyer is about to defuse a bomb planted in the governor's car, he orders a local cop to call the bomb squad, prompting him to say, "We don't have one. But it's in the budget for next year."

** Another Krenshaw bit; in "Mr. Monk Fights City Hall," after a member of the city council (which he serves on) is murdered, he offers a prayer that the killer be caught quickly...or, alternatively, that he at least won't turn out to be "some kind of masked vigilante who, for some reason, has a personal vendetta against the city council, and is determined to slaughter us, one member at a time, picking us off when we least expect it, [[PoeticSerialKiller using a different, yet somehow appropriate method for each of his grisly killings]]! Amen."

* In "Mr. Monk Fights City Hall," the entire scene with the "Hot Dog Czar" runs on funny. Like their utter disregard of common sense food safety. Also, while being questioned, George Gionopolis has chest pains and looks and sounds like he's about to have a heart attack, and apparently his doctors can't figure out what causes these to happen three times a week (Monk is surprised). Also, in their all "meat" hot dogs, they use "meat" (note: they are required by law to put the word in quotes).
** Later, Monk runs into one of the vendors they meet at the warehouse manning a stand in a park when buying a hot dog for Maria Schecter. He pays for it, and then tells said vendor that it's been a real [[AirQuotes "pleasure"]] meeting him again.

* "Mr. Monk and the Election" combines this with Crowning Moment Of Awesome. While Monk is over at Natalie's house, a grenade is tossed through the window. While Natalie and Julie run for safety, Monk scoops up the grenade, runs into the kitchen, tosses it into the refrigerator, and slams the door shut. Then he immediately reopens the door, neatly sets the grenade in the egg tray, and closes the door again.
** And amusingly enough, it's plausible in real life. Just ask the Series/MythBusters.

* In "Happy Birthday, Mr. Monk", Monk goes over how thorough they all were to suprise him with the birthday party, including pretending to kill a cop. Stottlemeyer and Randy get a serious tone and claim they really had to kill a cop to make it convincing. When Monk is stunned by this answer, they burst out laughing and admit they are joking and introduce him to said cop.

** Natalie ends up being rushed to the hospital after downing a voodoo potion that she was supposed to rub on her neck. Ultimately, Monk realizes the paramedic was the killer of the week and has the voodoo minister he called in to help ram the ambulance with his car, knocking the villain off Natalie and allowing her to scramble out and cry into her boss/friend's chest. That's not funny, but afterwards, Monk calls for an ambulance (given that Natalie still has to get medical attention) and the voodoo minister notes the obvious, saying that he means another one; this one is cursed.
** Immediately after Natalie consumes the potion, Reverend Jorgensen starts freaking out and appears to be chanting:
