* Shinn didn't listen during the briefing and finds out as he's flying through a cave that there is no light, and that he will have to rely on his radar to guide him. Reflecting on Athrun's assurance that he was the man for the job, he shouts:

* Since Athrun spends most of the series away from the Archangel and it's crew and hadn't seen them in a good long while, he straight up forgot that Mu had apparently died at the climax of the prequel. He's half way through a conversation with "Neo" when he suddenly flashes back to the Strike exploding and becomes very confused. This scene is also particularly fridge-hilarious when you consider that moments earlier Athrun found out Kira was alive, but Athrun was still recovering from his own near-death experience.

Suddenly an Orb Murasame fighting in the skies above blasts a ZAFT GOUF out of the sky and it lands right on top of him. Quite an abrupt end for an annoying character.
