** The conclusion, when Peeves chased Umbridge off by hitting her with a walking stick and a sock filled with chalk. Professor [=McGonagall=]'s reaction? "I would chase after her myself, but Peeves borrowed my stick." Made funnier when listening to the book on tape, where the reader's [=McGonagall=] voice seems to be hinting that Peeves didn't "steal" the stick so much as "asked politely for it and detailed the exact reason why he needed it." ** Made it better because, during the aformentioned prank war, once Harry witnessed Peeves trying to unscrew a chandelier while McGonagall was in the room, and he could swear he heard her actually suggesting Peeves how to do it propely. Wich also counts as a CrowningMomentOfFunny itself.

* The rather sharp put-down Mad-Eye Moody directs at Vernon during the confrontation between the Dursleys and the Order at the end of the book: -->'''Vernon:''' I am not aware that it is any of your business what goes on in my house- -->'''Mad-Eyes:''' I expect [[ExactWords what you're not aware of]] would fill several books, Dursley. ** Followed by this gloriously satisfying exchange: -->'''Vernon:''' [[IsThatAThreat Are you threatening me, sir?]] -->'''Mad-Eye:''' [[BluntYes Yes, I am.]] -->'''Vernon:''' [[TemptingFate And do I look like the kind of man who can be intimidated?]] -->'''Mad-Eye:''' Well... '''' Yes, I'd have to say you do, Dursley.

** At one point Luna is happily skipping towards the Room of Requirement, all the while being watch by Filch and the Inquisitorial Squad (Malfoy and some other Slytherins). They then try running into the Room of Requirement but just crash land into a broom cupboard. Luna's skipping alone is a moment in and of itself.
