* Episode 15 has a few before Wu attacks.
** Wendy tells Kameo that she bets everything, and that they cannot eat if Kameo loses. Kameo moves faster. Then Van threatens to turn Kameo into turtle steak and eat it. Kameo immediately jumps to the goal.
** The airship scene. For starters, we have Van swiping the drinks off the tray. Right from the waiter. The waiter told him that the drinks were someone else's, but Van proceeds to swipe everything off the tray and mix everything in a jug. And drink it right off the jug. In front of the upper-class passengers. Wendy is embarrassed.
*** To cap it all off, there is alcohol among the drinks. Van passes out afterwards.
** Then during the dinner in the airship, Van does his RunningGag of asking for condiment and pour everything all over his food. What makes this particularly funny is he is doing it in front of many upper-class passengers. Including the scream. Understandably, Wendy is embarrassed and everyone else laughs.
*** Van also decides to ditch table manners and eat his food with hands.

** It's not certain which is funnier, the concept of a Mexican SuperRobot, or that ''the concept works'', or that the concept works ''[[RuleOfCool and is amazing]]''.

** Later in episode 6, Van ends up fighting Bunny's father in his Armor. He draws his sword, the theme music starts, he gets ready to do that thing with his hat...and a car drives over the hill. An ''armored'' car, yes, but still just a car.
-->'''Bunny's Father:''' What's wrong? Summon your Armor!
-->'''Van:''' Yeah...that won't be necessary.

** And right before all of this is Van's funniest BigDamnHeroes moment ever: [[TheComicallySerious Stoically surfing into the scene as the funny horns play]]. The fact that he's doing all of this with a DeathGlare, like he's just so DONE with the entire day, sells it.

* In the English dub version of episode 6, when Klatt fails to catch Bunny, Van quips "If you really loved her, you'd have caught her!" (Thus perfectly summing up the theory behind FallingIntoHisArms.) All the funnier if you remember this later when Van catches Pricilla in episode 14.
