* In "An Easter Carol", Hope shows Ebenezer what the world would look like without the hope of Easter, which culminates in the reveal that Edmund has passed away. However, this isn't actually the most likely future: during the church service, the French Peas arrive to tear down the church ''from the inside'', and Ebenezer just barely stops them in time. If he had been a second later, ''everyone'' would have died. Ebenezer would have had to live with that guilt for the rest of his life.

It’s actually fruit, not fruits, although there is a list, all of the list is the fruit. Pun still works

* The entire show is about the [[StealthPun Fruits of the Spirit.]]

* "...How are we clapping?" "I have no idea."
** [[RunningGag That one comes up a lot.]] For example, before the intro song, Larry points out to Bob that he can't play the guitar because he has no hands. One wonders how he can change notes on the sousaphone...
*** This can be done by varying your embouchure, although this requires a tremendous amount of facial strength and control for a tuba or sousaphone.
** And yet in Lord of the Beans, when Ear-o'-Corn is doing his Elvis impersonation, he does play the guitar without hands!
*** Junior's Dad is also able to play the guitar with no hands in WesternAnimation/JonahAVeggieTalesMovie.

** If it's any consolation, it's a humiliating punishment at worst since none of the characters have any lungs, or even internal organs for that matter, [[LiteralMinded because they are fruits and veggies.]] Talking and living fruits and veggies with nothing but mouths and eyes, yes, but still fruits and veggies!

* The creators may not have considered this, but ''Literature/SherlockHolmes'' was [[Recap/VeggieTalesEpisode26SheerluckHolmesAndTheGoldenRuler a very good choice to spoof]] when talking about TheGoldenRule. Sherlock tends to demand a lot from Watson while continually doing things like insulting his intelligence or criticizing the way he helps out. Therefore, a spoof about him would be a natural for a story about treating others the way you would want to be treated.

** WordOfGod is that it's okay to eat non-sentient food items; presumably the onions and the tomato sauce weren't sentient.

** In the infamous "Forgive-O-Matic" skit from "God Wants Me to Forgive Them?!", the scallion mentions that the Forgive-O-Matic can also make french fries. Even creepier because a potato actually appears as a character earlier in that skit.
** In "The New and Improved Bunny Song" from "Very Silly Songs", Nezzer laments that he didn't eat his salad.

* ''Lord of the Beans'':
** The fellowship gets imprisoned by the Elders of the Razzberry Forest for laughing at [[BlowingARaspberry their language]]. Given that Scaryman eventually reveals that the Elders are working with him, it's possible that they intentionally lured the heroes into a jail-worthy offense so that they could detain them for Scaryman without raising suspicion.
** The eagle the fellowship tries to use to escape seems to come out of nowhere...unless you're familiar with the Eagles from Tolkien's work and the massive conflict in the fanbase about why the questers there didn't convince the Eagles to fly them to Mt. Doom. In this case, the reason was that the eagle refused.
