* Bowie choosing Chase to be on Team Skunk Butt initially comes off as weird considering Bowie's dislike for Chase the previous season, but there are two potential reasons for this. One was because Chase would be an easy target to eliminate due to his narcistic behavior getting on everyone's nerves. Another could be that in spite of his falling out with Emma the previous season, Bowie still cares enough about her enough to want to make sure she isn't stuck competing on the same team as Chase (especially after she broke up with him for good) and would rather have Chase on his team than let him and Emma on the same team.

** Dakota's mutation is even worse the more you think about it. An exclusive clip implies she had to change her initial career plan from an actress to a wrestler. Her new post-mutation HulkSpeak also implies that she became dumber, which begs a question of whether or not she got to properly finish her education. What's worse, on the show itself, Zoey, her OnlyFriend on the Mutant Maggots, voted her out of fear for her own health. While Sam's example is a proof that being in close proximity to Dakota doesn't cause her mutation to spread onto someone else, many people are probably unaware of this or too paranoid regardless. Just how many people avoid her for that reason? What's worse, her new form may easily cause others to point their fingers at her at best or run away in fear or try to attack her after seeing a "monster" at worst, especially kids. Something as simple as going outside for a walk may turn into a traumatic experience for her as a result, especially if she has a soft spot for children. And speaking of children, if she evers wants to have kids with Sam, her only option now is adoption, unless she's willing to risk her kids sharing her fate.

[[BigBad Big Bads]] of each season have it especially bad, as they may easily face KarmicShunning at school just like they did on the show. While it's, well, karmic, keep in mind these are just teenagers and an experience like this is bound to leave a major psychological trauma. Furthermore, there are confirmed cases of contestants' lives being destroyed because of the show: Ezekiel is a wild beast kept away from home and is unlikely to reenter society, Dakota is permanently mutated and had to change careers from her initial plans as a result (an exclusive clip implies her to be a wrestler rather than an actress), Duncan was arrested and his exclusive clip reveals he might have been a victim of PrisonRape, several contestants left on UncertainDoom, and Gwen says in TDA's special that no one asked Heather to prom, revealing that she went from a stereotypical popular RichBitch to a social pariah after the show. Aforementioned special also reveals that DJ and his mother went bankrupt after some of their recipes ended in casualties. With DJ being eliminated in ''World Tour'' (and even if he had won, the money would've been stolen and burnt by Ezekiel anyway), for all we know his family may still be bankrupt, forever stuck in poverty.

*** Considering only Courtney was truly mad at her for that with Sierra and Heather already hating Gwen for different reasons and everyone else on the show still being on good terms with her (with the Aftermath being less harsh on her compared to Action), it's possible Gwen may not have faced too many problems in school. No word about Bridgette, Sky, and especially Duncan (who also has additional crimes of blowing up Chris' mansion) though.

*** Related to the above: how did Heather's WardrobeMalfunction (among all the other humiliation she's suffered and her villainous portrayal) affect the life of Damien, her brother? Was he bullied for everything his sister did and what happened to her? If so, given that her character bio states that he frequently bullied her by pulling pranks on her, did it cause his retaliation towards her to only get worse?

** Another example is Gwen becoming HatedByAll after being labeled as a boyfriend stealer. It already ruined her reputation on the show. Just imagine how hard the SlutShaming must have been at her school.

** Of particular note, many contestants were shown naked (even if censored). And as minors at that. * It is questioned why Zee was voted off over Caleb despite everyone being angry at Caleb for seemingly deceiving and hurting Priya, but there is some logic behind this. Considering Zee had blabbed Julia, MK, Damien, and Raj's secrets on national TV, they may have been angrier at him for publicly embarrassing them, supported by Julia, MK, and Wayne (who was likely angry on Raj's behalf) giving him {{Death Glare}}s and moving away from him as he tries to sit near them at the elimination ceremony. Plus in the cases of Julia and MK, they may see it as better strategy to keep Caleb to continue his drama with Priya and keep him as a bigger elimination target over themselves (whereas keeping Zee over him would likely allow everyone to cool off from their anger with him) due to committing the worse long term deed over Zee. The votes for Zee were most likely Julia, Raj, Wayne, MK, and Caleb.

* Chris' {{Flanderization}} from one season to the next basically amounts to him being an adult version of that season's BigBad. In ''Island'' he was TheGadfly, but also capable of moments of empathy and a far cry from the monster he'd eventually become [[StarterVillain (Heather)]]. In ''Action'' he was incredibly [[EvilIsPetty petty]] and {{Narcissist}}ic (Justin and Courtney). In ''World Tour'' he was TheChessmaster (Alejandro). In ''Revenge Of The Island'' he [[TrapMaster rigged explosives all over the island,]] his primary target for bullying was [[OnlyFriend Chef Hatchet]] and he [[KickTheMoralityPet strapped a bomb to Owen's face]] (Scott). In ''All-Stars'' and ''Pahkitew Island'' he basically admits he's trying to get everyone killed [[TheSociopath (Mal and Scarlett)]]. And in the reboot seasons, he goes through CharacterRerailment where his cruelty and over-the-top antics are toned down but he is still regarded as a significant threat [[ALighterShadeOfBlack (Julia and Bowie)]].

* Why does Chris allow Nichelle and Ripper to quit without consequence of a million dollar fine this season, but not Damien the previous season? Based on how All Stars mentions the cast had gotten new contracts that season, it is possible there may be a separate contract in Island 2023 Part 2 from the one in Island Part 1 with Part 2's contract not including a million dollar fine clause for quitting, since all 16 contestants were willing to come back for another round (with Damien making more of an effort to compete in Part 2 than he did in Part 1) in the first place.

* Regarding "Sundae Muddy Sundae": So...did these interns ever get something to eat?

* Zee casually reveals that Raj enjoys smelling the gym bags of his teammates on live television. Not only would this be uncomforting for a guy who [[ComingOutStory just came out of the closet]] but it can lead to his teammates back home, who may not have known about Raj's preferences, having "conflicting" feelings about this new information. This may have contributed to Wayne and Raj potentially voting off Zee over Caleb.
