* During Rancho and Virus' confrontation after Joy's funeral, the former presents to him a statistical report of how India is leading in suicide rates in the world and it slowly became the leading cause of death of most younger Indians instead of natural illnesses. And during Virus' three decades of service in ICE as its director, the college's ranking was around 30th but during Rancho's attendance, it was currently the number one. Given Virus' character, just how many engineering students were subjected to constant pressure enough to kill themselves like what happened to Joy Lobo, and [[TradeYourPassionForGlory threw happiness and morals out the window in favor of gaining material and societal prestige]] due to Virus relentlessly upholding such a draconian policy?

* In the beginning of the film, Raju asked Chatur why September 5th is important to them. In Farhan's retelling of the story, September 5 is Teachers' Day and is observed in India. Chatur was humiliated during the Teachers' Day event at ICE because he had no knowledge that he just delivered an offensive speech in front of the ICE body and other important figures. Angered at his humiliation at the hands of Rancho and Farhan (who he might've figured out were the ones who edited the speech because they gave the copy of it to him), he made the bet with only them present. Raju hadn't reconcile with the two yet and still kept his distance from them. Therefore, he is actually confused about what Chatur is talking about, and possibly doesn't know that there is a bet in the first place. Farhan and Rancho could have filled Raju in about the bet, but they didn't because they didn't take it seriously at the time Chatur declared it.
* Farhan being the narrator of the chronological timeline makes more sense considering that from the get-go, he is enamored with Rancho's way of thinking and fully understands it, and stayed with him throughout their college days, especially their earlier years, and thus knows certain moments and information with the trio together. Raju, while undeniably close to Rancho as well, had a fallout with him that lead to their PlotMandatedFriendshipFailure and later, missed most of the days at ICE due of his attempted suicide leaving him hospitalized.
* Early in the film, while describing his catchphrase "All is Well", Rancho reveals that he lived in a small village with a night watchman. This appears to contradict the fact that his father apparently earns a monthly salary of 2.5 crore rupees [[note]]roughly equivalent to US$500,000, adjusting for inflation[[/note]], and that Rancho apparently lives in a mansion, as what Virus told Fahran and Raju during his lecture after the trio crashed at his eldest daughter's wedding. Then you later learn that Rancho actually grew up poor, and he only posed as the son of a wealthy family in order to benefit his rich employer. Raju and Farhan failed to take note of that inconsistency and this is the first time where Rancho drops his mask of an imposter and tells the two about his true identity, even if it's just a snippet.

** Pia's mother was dead around the events of the past timeline. We don't know the cause of her death or when it happened, but if she was still alive when her son committed suicide due to not being able to put up with his father's pressure anymore, then DeathByDespair is in order. Or if she was dead to begin with before her son's suicide, she might have served as Virus' calming influence and even his MoralityChain, until he became stricter in raising his children and shaping them into what he wants, even if it's against their wishes. Or, if she was just as strict as Virus, if not stricter, then her husband just continued what they believed was right.

* If Farhan and Raju spent years trying to find Rancho, how come they didn't come across the Chanchad residence sooner? They could have easily gotten Rancho's Shimla address from the university, confronted the real Ranchoddas, traveled to Ladakh, and have found him without Chatur's help.
** It is possible Rancho didn't tell Farhan and Raju about his home address as it may have led to his true identity, thus breaking the friendship between them which Rancho wouldn't want, especially how shaky their start was in their earlier years in ICE before their bond had been solidified. Not to mention he would get in trouble with the school authorities if ICE, especially Virus who was keen on taking down Rancho, wound up learning that one of their students was an imposter. One might say that despite Rancho being the star student of ICE, he still maintains a low-profile in order not to arouse suspicion and curiosity from others. It's quite impressive that in four years, he managed to hide his true identity from the two, considering how tightly-knit they were and how Rancho knew Farhan and Raju's respective issues, while the two didn't really know about him. And the university can't simply just give away Rancho's address or any information like grades to anyone who isn't him, no matter what Farhan and Raju's reasons are.
** Likely, Rancho and Ranchoddas (using this for the actual one) both wanted to make sure that they weren't caught so Ranchoddas threw a ton of money since he's wealthy enough to do that to keep the address off the books or something. After ten years, they put it back, figuring the lie didn't need to be under wraps anymore. Plus, Rancho might have asked Ranchoddas to do that so the idiots had a lead. Besides, they are all adults and life can get in the way.

* Virus instructs his assistant to shave his mustache if either Raju and Farhan get a job, and the moment Raju lands a job, the assistant follows through on the order, to Virus's horror. Even years later though, we see that he has kept his mustache shaved off, despite having the ability to grow it back. Virus kept this to make the initial shaving seem intentional and not reveal it was the result of a bet, thus not showing weakness with regards to his "One must always be first in life" philosophy, befitting of his prideful character. And on a heartwarming side, it might also be that Virus accepts his defeat against Rancho and while he still has a point on some things about how one must be toughened up by the challenges and demands of life, he comes to realize that even his philosophy is flawed into the point that it cost lives, including his son's.

Angered at the humiliation at the hands of Rancho and Farhan (who he might intuited that the two were the ones who edited the speech because the two were the ones who gave the copy of the speech to him), he made the bet with only Rancho and Farhan present. Raju didn't reconcile with the two yet. Therefore, Raju is actually confused about what Chatur is talking about, and possibly not knowing that there is a bet in the first place. Farhan and Rancho could've fill Raju in about the bet, but they didn't because they didn't take it seriously at that time Chatur declared the bet.
