* "New Digs" has Spongebob mention to Squidaward that he's been putting the money from the cash register into the pickle jar and yet Krabs seems fine with it. It seemed odd since this was about the time when Krabs would start becoming more protective of his money but then I figured out two reasons for why Krabs was so cool with this. Firstly, Spognebob's antics thus far have not directly hurt the Krusty Krab's fiancees nor the influx of customers yet with Krabs even mentioning to Spongebob in the next scene that he'd hate for his worker's living arrangement to impact his money spending customers. The second reason is that since Spngebob was paying Mr. Krabs rent Krabs decided to go along with the antics since he knows that the rent money he gets will balance everything out for his profits.

** Jim was proven completely correct yet again in "Spongebob, You're Fired", where Spongebob discovers he has a talent for creating excellent snail food. However, instead of starting his own business selling homemade snail food, he goes back to the Krusty Krab at the end of the episode. Essentially, the only thing that's holding Spongebob back is his blind loyalty to the Krusty Krab and being too naive to realize how horrible of a boss Mr. Krabs is, while Jim realized how much of a dump it was and got out as soon as he could.

* "The Krusty Krab Training Video" has an offhand line about Mr. Krabs fearing robot overlords. This seems rather odd for an old navy veteran and business owner... until you remember that in "Krab Borg", Mr. Krabs was tied up and had his possessions smashed by his own employees precisely ''because'' they thought he was a robot. The experience must have shaken Krabs so much that he developed a fear of robots that would come after him and his money.

* The decorations in [=SpongeBob=]'s living room. They're giant fishing lures, right? They're like the underwater equivalent of fishing trophies. Fishermen have their best fish stuffed and hung up on their walls to show everyone what they managed to pull up... Fish put up the biggest fishing lures they've managed to ''take down with them'' for just the same reason.

*** It's quite possible this could be a reason why Squidward is so disliked by people in town. All the times Spongebob and Patrick have been looked down on and mocked for being immature for liking Jellyfishing and the negative stigma against the sport in general? Everyone in town knows who's to blame for inventing it in the first place.

* The events of "SB-129" means there are now two Squidwards existing simultaneously at the same point in time: one is the Squidward that went to the future and time travelled back to the present, while the other one is stuck frozen in the Krusty Krab freezer. Meaning that for the entire rest of the series, including during the events of the first movie, Squidward will be stuck frozen in the back of the Krusty Krab, where no one will find or help him until 2,00 years later, long after anyone he ever knew or cared about would have died ages ago.

** The end of the episode, where Squidward inadvertantly creates a StableTimeLoop by introducing Jellyfishing to the primitive Spongebob and Patrick. This means Squidward himself was ''always'' the one who invented Jellyfishing, making his disdain for it that much more ironic since he invented it himself.

** This also explains why art and music are so prevalent among octopi in general: because they were the ones who created and shared them in the first place thanks to Squidward's actions in prehistoric times.
** This is even further brilliance when you take into account that real-life octopi are much more intelligent than other sea creatures. So someone like Squidward existing during prehistoric times actually isn't too far-fetched, time machine aside.

* Every single octopus we've seen on the show has the same large ego, horrid attitude, and looks down on everyone else just like Squidward (most notably Squilliam and every resident of Squidville). Seems like a strange characteristic, but it makes much more sense when you take into account the StableTimeLoop created by Squidward's time travelling in "SB-129". Of ''course'' octopi are so full of themselves: their species were the first ones in recorded history intelligent enough to create their own language, discover music, and create games for entertainment!

* [=SpongeBob=] immediately thinking that Sandy’s heading into danger in "Rodeo Daze" is completely unwarranted, and an example of him blowing things out of proportion, isn’t it? Not necessarily. Sandy has SuperStrength and would be just fine on her own. However, she's only one of the strongest people in Bikini Bottom because, as noted in another entry, she’s a mammal and has more muscles than sea creatures. For all intents and purposes, Sandy is, ironically, a NormalFishInATinyPond, at least in the brawn department. She’s been shown to be way over her head, when she went up against another creature, twice: against the Alaskan Bull Worm in "Sandy, [=SpongeBob=] and the Worm", and the Gorilla in "I Had an Accident". When she’s at the rodeo, she’s wrangled a ''bull frog'' as opposed to an actual bull. So, in a sense, [[DumbassHasAPoint [=SpongeBob=] was right to believe that Sandy’s almost suicidal overconfidence could be her downfall]].

* Why doesn't Squidward make any attempt to get away from his dead-end cashiering job and annoying neighbors if he hates them so much? Because he can't. In "Squid on Strike", Spongebob's destruction of the Krusty Krab has Mr. Krabs vow that the both of them will work for him forever in order to pay for the damages. He's completely serious, as indicated by the ending, thus Squidward is forever trapped making pennies at his fast food cashier job, which people like Squilliam gleefully rub in his face. As for why he doesn't try to move away? He did try that in "Opposite Day", which ended up with Spongebob and Patrick pissing off the realtor to the point where she angrily refuses to sell Squidward's house and pretty much slams the door in his face. Thus, it's reasonable that the realtor may have blacklisted Squidward and his house entirely because of this experience, making it impossible for him to sell his house to anyone. Considering both of these were caused directly by Spongebob, it's not hard to see why Squidward can't stand him.
** This would also explain why Squidward doesn't make any attempt to sell his house when he moves away in "Squidville"; the last time he tried, Spongebob and Patrick completely ruined it. And if he did indeed get blacklisted by the realtor, it makes perfect sense why he wouldn't sell, because he can't. If he wasn't planning on coming back to live next to Spongebob and Patrick, why else wouldn't he sell his house unless he was entirely unable to?

* The health inspector in "Nasty Patty" does his "inspection" by tasting everything on the Krusty Krab's menu. In real life, that's not a health inspector's job; that's a food critic's. A health inspector is supposed to check to make sure everything in the restaurant is clean and safe for the general public, which the inspector in the episode is never shown doing. So in a sense, the health inspector actually ''is'' a phony since he's not doing his job.
* On the topic of the health inspector, the whole reason for that episode's conflict was because Mr. Krabs thought he was trying to get free food, thus enraging him. But by attempting to poison him, the health inspector actually did end up getting free food since he's never shown paying for it after the whole misunderstanding with the police is cleared up (and it's unlikely Mr. Krabs could have charged him for everything without losing face in front of the cops or risking failing the inspection).

* In "Prehibernation Week", Sandy forces the whole of Bikini Bottom to look for [=SpongeBob=] after she jumps to the conclusion that something terrible has happened to him. At first, they put up posters and search through town. Because [=SpongeBob=] is gone, Sandy is slowly losing her mind due to the stress of trying to find him and carry on her Prehibernation Week before it’s too late. * So, exactly how amazing is Bikini Bottom's economy? Considering fast food workers can afford fully-furnished, multi-story homes on minimum wage, as well as the insurance to replace it whenever, for example, Squidward's house gets destroyed.

** This actually becomes further brilliance since this episode is the last appearance of Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy until Season 4 (they are also absent from "The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie"). Since the movie was originally intended to be the series finale, this means we indeed never see Barnacle Man being referred to as his original name again! It also serves as FridgeHeartwarming, since the last we see of the duo is them having a laugh together, and Mermaid Man agreeing to give Barnacle Boy more respect as promised.
