The reason that Ham III didn't lose consciousness when going through the wormhole, despite being in like 10 g force, is because he may be used to this sort of stuff by working back at the circus. You can even see an early example of this in the training montage when they test how the chimps react to g force, where Ham III is still conscious and didn't even react a lot to it, compared to Luna and Titan who fell almost unconscious until the test ended.
