* Dr. Habit's bulletin board demonstrates that he has a soft spot for Putunia, as he writes "So strong. Little one understands. :-(" (with the implication that she, like Habit, [[AbusiveParents comes from an abusive background]]). Habit's InsaneTrollLogic philosophy predicates on how people who are sad have all of their teeth despite never using them to smile, and it's implied that this insecurity stems from his own father knocking out Habit's teeth in a moment of anger. Putunia, arguably, is the exact type of person Habit wants to "help" with his delusional mindset: she's a CheerfulChild from an abusive background who has a missing tooth.
** Her name is even a reference to both aspects of Habit's character: Petunia is a type of flower, while Mollar is a type of tooth.

* At first, it doesn't seem to make much sense for Kamal to relegate the duty of talking down Dr. Habit to Flower Kid, as Kamal was Habit's friend and coworker for a long time and undoubtedly knows him better. However, there are a few reasons why this makes sense to do:
** In RealLife, trying to confront a close friend/lover about a mental health crisis can make things more complicated when both parties involved have a tendency to get hostile and bring up old issues, especially since Kamal's feelings about Habit are already quite messy, as he is putting both positive and negative memories they've shared into context. Perhaps it's better for Flower Kid to do it as an objective third party with none of the baggage that Kamal and Habit have between them, and Habit is likelier to listen to an unbiased source.
** Habit also already insulted Kamal's teeth (which seem to be a sore spot for him) and Kamal was already reeling from his mistreatment and firing, and forcing him to relive that would be pretty cruel. If Kamal confronted him, its likely Habit would merely shut him down like before. Because Flower Kid is an AudienceSurrogate and Dr. Habit doesn't know anything about them, it makes it much harder for Habit to poke at any insecurities they may have and likelier to listen.

* It's never stated ''how'' exactly Habit acquired enough teeth to give himself three rows in total before the Habitat. Was he sneaking teeth taken from patients' extractions and simply grew impatient with how little he got at a time despite having more than enough? Did he live up to the title of DepravedDentist during his medical career and harvest them en masse? Did he perhaps turn to more [[MurderIsTheBestSolution sinister options]] to cover up his tracks? Even if the last one is a bit of a stretch, there's a good number of possible explanations, and none of them are comforting.

** It's implied that Kamal and Habit were friends (or maybe even that Kamal was an ImpliedLoveInterest, depending on how seriously you take [[https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/smile-for-me/images/d/db/Valbentinesdaye.png/revision/latest?cb=20190801021451 that Steam card illustration]]) even when Habit's mental health began to take a turn for the worst - unfortunately, it got to the point where Kamal began avoiding Habit by retreating to the terrace after Habit berated him one too many times (for something he himself caused, to add insult to injury.) The similarities between their falling-out and a younger Habit destroying any seeds he had left in order to pursue what was expected of him has not gone unnoticed by fans.
** Putunia sees Habit as her ArchNemesis, the Green Menace, but Habit himself only acknowledges her once, on his bulletin board - and it's to say that she "understands." Combined with everything else we already know about Habit, it's very plausible that Putunia serves as a reminder of both the idealistic CheerfulChild he used to be, as well as the abuse he faced; of course he would be sympathetic to her, even if the feeling isn't mutual.

* The idea of Habit being {{Transgender}} (which at this point remains not officially confirmed but supported by the creators) is solid enough on its own, but it does raise one question: What would have caused the instance of abuse described in the 1967 diary entry if not Habit's father believing that such behavior was inappropriate from a boy? Was he, like his son, a WellIntentionedExtremist who was taught that [[MiseryBuildsCharacter being a man meant living in a cruel environment that actively tried to harm you in order to toughen you up?]] Was he just trying to beat it out of Boris? Is it something else entirely? On a scale of 1 to 10, how likely is it that any of this will ever be elaborated on?

* Trencil's default sprite shows him chewing bubblegum - which at first, only looks like a design choice made to obscure his fangs so that the player wouldn't immediately pick up on him being a vampire. Once the player learns that he dislikes drinking blood, however, it easily provides an in-universe explanation: the gum could be a way of weaning himself off of any lingering blood-sucking tendencies he might have left, similar to how former smokers will often use gum to quell the need to have something in their mouth.

* The idea of Habit being {{Transgender}} (which at this point remains not officially confirmed but supported by the creators) is solid enough on its own, but it does raise one question: [[spoiler:What would have caused the instance of abuse described in the 1967 diary entry if not Habit's father believing that such behavior was inappropriate from a boy?]] Was he[[spoiler:, like his son,]] a WellIntentionedExtremist who was taught that [[MiseryBuildsCharacter being a man meant living in a cruel environment that actively tried to harm you in order to toughen you up?]] [[spoiler: Was he just trying to beat it out of Boris?]] On a scale of 1 to 10, how likely is it that any of this will ever be elaborated on?

* There are kids at the Habitat - which is, as stated in the game itself, a wellness retreat meant specifically for those who are depressed or otherwise unsatisfied with their lives. Millie's age is unknown, but she can't be much older than 11, and Putunia is ''7.'' Not to mention that there doesn't seem to be any adults tagging along with them. All of this begs the question - what would cause an elementary school-aged child to feel as though they needed to go somewhere else to be happy again, and why wouldn't their parents get involved?
