* It isn't a full case of DickDastardlyStopsToCheat, since Team Skull don't exactly do their work for the love of exploration. Nonetheless, they were on the guild expedition with everyone else, but they didn't make it to the end. They could have witnessed Fogbound Lake, met a Legendary Pokemon and seen the resting place of a CosmicKeystone. However, they insisted on trying to steal the glory, and so got nothing instead. And it's their own fault.

* At the bottom of Poliwrath River, you find Ampharos wandering around showing his trademark NoSenseOfDirection, not really aware that he isn't still in the village. However, that's how good Ampharos is at dungeon exploring - he didn't even consider Poliwrath River enough of a dangerous environment to make him wonder if he'd left the town.

* Team Skull, as you'd expect from the name, is composed entirely of Poison-types. But it's not just any Poison-types — Zubat and Koffing are both some of the only Poison-types immune to Ground, which is the only AchillesHeel of a Poison/Dark-type like Skuntank, suggesting that he chose his teammates specifically to counter this weakness. However, Poison/Dark doesn't cover the weaknesses of pure Poison or Poison/Flying in return, which implies that he's a BadBoss even before we see him do anything.
