While "Betterment" is Advance's answer to their own form of rehabilitation, you get numerous clues that what goes on in those facilities is more than meets the eye. The fact that you don't get to see them (except for a music video, probably) in-person during the game makes the ambiguity more terrifying.
** While "Betterment" alludes to helping a person be better fitting in society, ''how'' is this achieved? Does it function like a prison? A psychological evaluation center? Is {{Brainwashing}} involved in the bettering of the inmates? Is it like a Room101? We'll probably never know.

At first, it sounds like a weird name for a party, but when looking into the word's definitions, it's a MeaningfulName, just like Advance (advancing society into a better future) and Disrupt (disrupting Advance's agenda). It can be a verb when used with an object, meaning "to grant; bestow". ''Accord'' is gifting the Territories a brighter future, while they're gifting the player the GoldenEnding.
