* Trylla was shown not to be angry with Hilda when she discovered that Hilda unknowingly released Trundle from his prison. Considering that Trylla turned Hilda into a Troll against her will and [[MyGodWhatHaveIDone realized that she made a horrible mistake in doing so]], Trylla knew that she shouldn't pass judgement onto Hilda.

* While the movie ends on a high note, there is the uncertain implications that Hilda might have developed PTSD due to being [[ForcedTransformation turned into a troll against her will]] and [[UnwittingPawn being used as a pawn by Trundle]].

* Considering that David is ordinarily a scared boy who, from her perspective, didn't feel safe even with Erik Ahlberg around him in the wilderness[[note]]remember, she isn't aware that Ahlberg is a buffoon whose encounters with trolls just make things worse[[/note]], it would make sense that David's mother would join the safety patrol to try to make him feel safe. It also goes in line with the movie's CentralTheme regarding a mother's love.

* Ms. Hallgrim's approval of Frida's actions in protesting against the bells makes sense on a few points:
** First, she wouldn't dispute Frida's criticism of the Safety Patrol's video's inaccuracy, because she has personally encountered trolls, and seen that they are not the mindless man-eating beasts that they are touted to be, as when Hilda handed the baby troll to its mother, it peacefully left.
** Secondly, the last time she tried to lecture a student, it turned out to her that the child was not actively being disruptive, but simply operated differently and was intelligent in their own way. She would be more receptive to different child behaviors in response to this.
** Lastly, Frida is generally a model student with parents who have high expectations, so she would be pretty lenient with the girl.
