** Ooh, that's a good one. I've been having trouble thinking of a way for her to survive despite killing her. That works wonderfully.
** Who knew tainted Andraste Ashes could cure beheadings?

** Another Fridge moment about "Night Terrors"; afterwards, Merrill will tell you that she ''knew'' demon's promises couldn't be taken as face value, and yet the Pride demon was somehow able to mentally influence her in ways not normally seen in Fade confrontations. (Isabela will tell roughly the same tale). But normally, when you're in the Fade, you're not inside the dreamscape of a kid who has unique 'make dreams real' powers. ''That'' is why the demons are more able to reach inside and do a Jedi mind trick than they normally are.

** High Dragons are rare, not drakes. And you only see one of those.

* Leliana shows up alive again in [=DA2=] even if your [=DA1=] import save has you killing her at the end of the Sacred Ashes quest. Now, that could be a bug... or it could be that when the Warden defeated her, he made the mistake of leaving her for dead less than twenty feet away from that world's equivalent of the Holy Grail, the one that can heal anything. Admittedly, the part where he'd have just ''tainted'' it would be an obstacle, but hey, Andraste moves in mysterious ways!

* Regarding the quest "Prime Suspect"/"All That Remains" and the major spoilers inside: [[spoiler: There are a few tips-offs to Gascard's involvement with the serial killer: When confronting him, he will claim that Gascard uses young, beautiful, but low in status women as prey. Normal stuff for a serial killer, right? Yet, the woman he claims is going to be the next victim is none of these things--she is an older noblewoman, and not particularly good looking. The other known victim, Ninette, was also an older noblewoman. And, of course--so is your mother.]]

** Could also be that the demon who originally taught her blood magic was a pride demon, and that her particular temptation is 'restoring ancient Arlathan', definitely a project of epic scope.

** Varric-as-storyteller explains a lot, actually. Like how in the course of ten years, nobody ages or changes at all - he wouldn't bother with "no shit, three years later, the Champion had their first grey hairs, and Isabela wasn't quite as [[MostCommonSuperpower perky]] anymore", but instead go with the expectations of how the heroes of a story look like.

* A little moment regarding your companions alligences in the mage/templar conflict. Bethany, Merril, and Anders all support the mages. OK, that's bit of a no-brainer. But the ones who support the templars are Carver, Aveline, and Fenris...all warriors, who have access to the Templar specialization. And the ones who are completely neutral? They're all rouges!

*** Not to kill your fridge brilliance but I'm almost certain she mentions that she stole it from the Orlesians who were going to give it back to the Qunari. So considering the Qunari knew she stole it, I'm guessing it occurred on middle ground for the hand off but wasn't allowed to be affected by the Qunari.

** And another fridge moment! If Isabela is Rivaini, then its good odds that she was raised to follow the Qun. No ''wonder'' she's ChaoticNeutral; her early experiences have taught her to equate 'order' with 'the total authoritarian state', and so she kicks back against any attempt to bind her with laws or rules as hard as she possibly can. She's effectively a human Tal-Vashoth.

* Ever wondered about Isabela's ability to infiltrate the legendarily paranoid and defensive qunari culture to steal their relic in the first place? I did... until I remembered that the only human nation that has a lot of followers of the Qun is Rivain. Isabela is ethnically Rivaini. So long as she could fake the behavior of a loyal follower of the Qun, qunari would not find her presence in qunari lands remarkable in any way.

* The lack of armor among the qunari makes a lot more sense when one realizes they're survivors from a shipwreck, and thus would have had to discard most of their armor while swimming ashore. And ''very'' few people in Kirkwall would likely be willing to sell the qunari troops armor to replace what was lost.

* The repetitive nature of some of the dungeons is initially annoying, until one remembers the entire game is essentially being retold by a storyteller who can't help but embellish a few things or cut corners in exposition. The reused dungeon interiors are essentially Varric saying "We went to a cave/warehouse/hovel and kicked some asses." and leaving it at that. He doesn't bother explaining what it looks like, leaving Cassandra to fill in a generic location. A generic, reused dungeon interior is now a part of the story that reinforces the narrative being told by Varric!
