* Chimairamon being retconned into an Ultimate level after spending its initial appearances as a Mega. While fellow chimera Mugendramon has parts comprised of mostly Ultimate level DigimonMegadramon, [=MetalTyrannomon=], [=MetalMamemon=], [=MetalGreymon=] and Andromon, more specifically, Chimairamon was made through mostly ChampionsKabuterimon, Greymon, Airdramon, Angemon, Devimon, Kuwagamon, Garurumon and Monochromon, with the only Ultimate levels being [=MetalGreymon=] and [=SkullGreymon=]. In addition, the one made in Adventure 02 was implied to have a lot more going on, considering one of the components made was Anime/DigimonAdventure's Devimon (who, by himself, was arguably stronger than most Ultimate levels while enhanced with the Black Gears). Most Chimairamon would not have that same luxury. In addition, there's the duo's Jogressed form, Millenniummon. It's primarily composed of Chimairamon's body with Mugendramon's data serving as an attachment, as if Mugendramon is drawing out Chimairamon's potential and turning it into the Mega level it was destined to be. While Chimairamon is certainly a perfect chimera, it's only through Mugendramon that it truly becomes the ultimate chimera.

* Originally, the movies were about introducing new concepts to the Series. So, by that theory, Digimon Adventure (the first movie, which appeared before the series proper) introduced the idea of children caring for a monster, and having said monster protecting them from another, thus introduced Digimon adventure. Our War Game introduced DNA evolution and children getting Digimon from watching them, as well as acessing a digital world through a computer. Revenge of Diablomon introduced angel like, immenselly powerful enemies and NGE Imagery (Omegamon sans arms, anyone?). Runaway Locomon introduced... train Digimon? Island of Lost Digimon introduced Beast Digimon warring with Human Digimon, very similar to Digimon warring with actual Humans in Anime/DigimonDataSquad. And Activate Burst Mode had multiple Digimon and only one human (-like creature - Rythim), similar to Anime/DigimonFusion.

** Furthermore, this is also a reflection of object-oriented programming. You start with a small number of base classes, then add subclasses that derive from them as needed, which can then have more subclasses derived from them in turn. And all of those subclasses have an instance of the base class at their core, just "evolved" in a different direction, just like, say, Botamon can evolve into Koromon or Budmon; it's pretty easy to see Botamon as representative of their shared base. Compare with languages like Java or C#, where all object types derive from Object, and it makes a ton of sense.

* The PerfectUltimate and UltimateMega evolutionary levels are supposed to be very difficult to reach, yet there are hundreds of known Perfect and Ultimate species compared to only a few dozens of BabyFresh/In-Training species, making the top levels seem like Oddly Common Rarity. However, while there are relatively few variations of low-level Digimon, each species consists of many individuals. In fact, there are entire villages populated by identical Baby Digimon. For every single Digimon, there are multiple Digimon it could evolve into, so naturally higher levels have more variations. And while there are many Perfect and Ultimate level species, each species has very few individuals, to the point that most Ultimates are probably one-of-a-kind.
