* Jeanette was never going to be innocent. If she ''had'' seen Kate in Martin’s house/basement when Kate said she did, then obviously she’s guilty of knowing where Kate was and not telling anyone. On the other hand, if she ''hadn’t'' “made eye contact” with her as accused by Kate on that day, why would she have stopped breaking into Martin’s house? And if she continued to break into Martin’s house, she would have to eventually realize Kate was in there, and obviously never told anyone.
