Sammy, who was adopted by a wealthy couple, invites Tess to spend the night at her house and they start to bond a little. But the next day Tess learns why Sammy ''really'' wanted to get acquainted with her: she arranged the murder of her adoptive parents and set up Tess to take the blame by being mistaken for her. But when the plan hits a snag, Sammy ends up having to pretend to be Tess, while Tess's mom Patricia (Creator/JenniferTaylor) notices some odd changes in the behavior of "Tess". Meanwhile, Tess has to prove to the police that she's not Sammy.
