* UngratefulBastard: [[EvilMentor Herod]] forced his then-protigee Cort to kill a priest who nursed them back to health. It is implied that this is what triggered Cort's HeelFaithTurn.

* OnlyAFleshWound: Gutzon, the Swedish gunfighter, announces before his duel with the Kid that he does not wish to kill a child, and will only shoot to wound. The Kid, who's faster on the draw, repays him in kind; Gutzon catches a bullet in the leg and arm, but limps away alive, and is therefore one of only a few entrants to lose a duel and survive (largely because Herod begins enforcing DuelToTheDeath as a rule in the second round.) Cort's first opponent is shot and the arm and lives, and so does Ellen's. Many of the first round battles pass by in a montage, leaving the losers' fates unclear.

* GunsDoNotWorkThatWay: When The Kid is showing Cort the various guns in his shop, he picks up a Colt .45 and spins the cylinder, causing to rotate rapidly like a spinning top while making a badass clicking sound. In reality, the cylinders on revolvers will not do this. Even with the hammer cocked back so the cylinder can rotate, there's too much friction between the cylinder and the other parts of the gun to allow it to spin even for one complete rotation, much less for several seconds. Prop guns that do this in movies are non-firing examples that have been modified so the cylinder is free-floating, with the clicking sound added in post-production. This happens ''all the time'' in movies, it should have it's own separate trope page, and is so common that people who have never handled revolvers will inevitably try it at some point if they have one, and think something is wrong with the weapon when the cylinder doesn't spin.

Added DiffLines:

* ArtisticLicenseEconomics: The gun shop scene, where Herod takes Cort to get a gun from The Kid, clearly shows that the writers just tried to come up with prices that would make sense to moviegoers and didn't do any research. The Kid says a Colt .45 is worth $120. That would be about $3000 in 2017 and way beyond the means of most if not all the people who would come to him looking to buy a gun. The beat up pistol that he says is worth five dollars? That's about $130 in today's money, and actually would be about half of what someone could expect to pay for a new, fresh out of the box revolver back in 1881.

* OnceIsNotEnough: Happens with Spotted Horse. Up until that point Cort been able to win all his quick draw matchs with only one bullet (he's a priest and refuses to kill them) until his next match makes a BadassBoast about one bullet wouldn't put him down; he's right it takes two.

** Funnily enough, the ultimate dueling pistol that Kid shows off in his shop is Schofield, AKA S&W Model 3 - even with the filed off trigger guard, it's way more unwieldy and long compared to appropriately shortened Colt SAAs and other guns the most successful duelists in the film carry, making it much less suited to the eponymous Quick Draw.

* BulletsDoNotWorkThatWay: In the final shootout where Lady kills Herod, her shot puts a small, neat hole in him that allows the sunlight to shine through. In reality, handgun bullets from that era were slower and softer than bullets today, so it would have lacked the power or penetrating ability to go straight through him. In addition, if it had gone all the way through him, the hole would have only stayed open for a split-second before blood and internal organs closed it once more, and the exit wound would have been the size of a deep-dish turkey pot pie. He wouldn't have been in any condition to stand there contemplating his situation for several moments.
