Hank decided to leave early as his conflict with his father gotten to be, too much but was forced to go back as something very shocking happened-Joseph had appeared to run over a guy…. and a guy he did not get along with at all (he had put him in jail) making this look very much to be a case of first degree murder but Joseph does not remember and he has to to go court with Hank of his lawyer of course (okay later on but that’s not because Hank didn't want to) once again forcing him to conflict his damaged relationship with his father and secrets are revealed.

The movie was released on October 10 but to critics was mix criticism going to the mistake of the murder plot NOT being the main focus, thinking it was a cliche storm, there was also criticism into thinking the characters were flat and without development, but there also praised thee movie thinking RDJ and Robert Duvall did great acting.

While back in his hometown he was returned to his family-Glen his older brother (played by Vincent D'Onofrio) and Dale-his younger brother (played by Jeremy Strong) and of course his father whom he doesn't have a very good relationship with Judge Joseph Palmer (funny enough his actor shares the first name of Downey-Robert Duvall like father like son?)
