It features a surprising number of high-level names, including Creator/MichaelAngarano as Will Stronghold, Creator/DaniellePanabaker as Layla, Creator/KurtRussell as The Commander/Steve Stronghold, Creator/KellyPreston as Jetstream/Josie Stronghold, Creator/LyndaCarter as Principal Powers, Creator/BruceCampbell as Coach Boomer, and Creator/MaryElizabethWinstead as Gwen Grayson. The film maintains a surprisingly sizable following, despite having generally fallen under the radar. This was also the first [[Film/DoctorStrange2016 Disney-owned superhero movie]] scored by Creator/MichaelGiacchino (''WesternAnimation/TheIncredibles'' doesn't count). * ShipTease: Zach and Magenta. They're frequently together, take each other to Homecoming on the basis of their mutual dislike of Homecoming, Zach asks if she needs protection from Warren, and later he even [[ShesGotLegs compliments her (guinea pig) legs]].

* DidntThinkThisThrough: Warren tells Will in the climax to [[spoiler:go after Gwen since he, Ethan and Layla can handle Penny, Lash and Speed. The latter immediately split up the former in the ensuing fight, not allowing them to work as a team. Having Will there would have turned the tides much sooner]].

When she pacifies all of the supers at the dance, however, she's surprisingly gentle with them as infants, even while monologuing how she's going to raise them as a new generation of supervillains. She and Stitches even review the instructions of strapping them into baby seats safely. Heck, when Will begs her to put his infant father down, she actually complies before focusing her monologuing on him]].

* CoversAlwaysLie: The poster chose some... interesting positions to place the actors in relative to their characters' roles in the film. In particular, Layla is crammed into the back-right corner, and Warren is posed to look as menacing as possible. [[spoiler:Subverted, though.
