Much like his [[Film/{{Leprechaun}} green counterpart]], Rumpelstiltskin is a DarkerAndEdgier take on the fairy tale. He grants wishes to those with newborn and takes the babies for their souls.

The film opens in 15th century, where Rumpelstiltskin's baby-exchange deal has gone sour and is imprisoned inside a statue by a witch. He is then brought back to the present (TheNineties) by a mourning widow who accidentally makes a wish (while holding the statue) to bring back her gunned down police husband. [[HilarityEnsues Carnage ensues]].

Eyes Of Gold has been renamed to Supernatural Gold Eyes as per this thread, because the trope is for characters with supernatural origins that have gold eyes. It\'s not for anyone who just happens to have them. So, anything that doesn\'t fit the definition or Zero Context Examples will be removed. If the example fits, please put it back with more context.

* EyesOfGold: Rumpelstiltskin's eyes.

** To make this clear, she starts out just wacking him with a broom. When it snaps, she shoves the handle down his throat. She also cuts off several of his fingers and stabs him in the head. Oh, and kicks him in the balls. And runs him over. All of this is on his first appearence, and she does spend more of the more doing the usual scream and run away thing after that, but it is a pretty awesome sight.
