* MagicalNegro: Kazaam. ''Literally.'' It's quite strange no one in the entire production noticed the UnfortunateImplications with having a black genie. But then again, the Aladdin remake did it too entire decades after people pointed this out, so it could just be that Hollywood never learns.

* BigOlEyebrows: The villain, Malik.Malik, has rather large eyebrows.
* BrattyHalfPint: Max can be very obnoxious at times, as well as being impulsive and ungrateful. He gets slightly better at the end, but not much.

* SayMyName: Both main leads have a tendency to shout each other's names a lot.
* ShoutOut: Naturally, the movie can't resist some basketball related moments with Shaq as the star. The BigBad is defeated when Kazaam literally folds him into a ball with his magic and then slam-dunks him down into a garbage chute. Now, granted, that would normally kill a man, but this is a Rated PG movie so we safely assume he lived through it due to magic.
* TotallyRadical: Well, it IS a 90s movie, so a LOT of Max's dialogue is in the realm of "totally radical."
