In this movie written by Creator/JohnHughes, Bink, the infant son of a wealthy family, is kidnapped by a TerribleTrio of crooks who pose as photographers, but they're [[StupidCrooks too stupid to handle one little baby]], who escapes and has an adventure throughout the big city while the crooks [[ButtMonkey get their butts kicked trying to get him back]], and his parents worry about him as they search for him.

** Mrs. Cotwell chose a very bad moment to look away from the news report of Binks' kidnapping. If she hadn't, she would've seen her son on the television.

* ComicallyMissingThePoint: [[BigBad Eddie]], upon seeing the baby in the gorilla cage, points out to Veeko that he has long arms. Veeko takes this as a compliment, rather than realising that Eddie wants him to reach out and grab the baby. [[FunnyBackgroundEvent Norby does pick up on Eddie's meaning and quickly shoves his hands in his pockets]]

* TheDividual: A variation of this tropes applies to the kidnappers. Since the film is basically ''Film/HomeAlone'' with a 9-month-old instead of Macauley Culkin, any two of the three kidnappers could have been combined into a single character--giving us two crooks instead of three--and the story would probably have still worked.
* EvenEvilHasStandards: Despite caring more about the ransom money, the kidnappers show more than once genuine concern for Bink's safety. That however may be a case of PragmaticVillainy

* SpiritualSuccessor:
** This film probably has more in common with the first two ''Film/HomeAlone'' films than ''Film/HomeAlone3'' did.
** It can also be seen as a spiritual successor to ''Film/TheThreeStooges''.

* KillerGorilla: To Baby Bink, completely averted as the imposing zoo gorilla is perfectly peaceful around Bink. The ape becomes protective of the infant and foils several ploys by the crook trio to kidnap the child.

* ThatPoorCat: While the crooks' van is through an alley to catch up with the bus Bink is on, there's a distinct "Mmrow!". Veeko even says "I think we hit a cat".

* OhCrap: The kidnappers has this, either due to the baby getting himself into danger, the baby putting them into danger or both.

* RecognitionFailure: The babysitter is in the park and sees Bink, but thinks is another baby.
