Jiro's leadership didn't have everybody become their old selves, it sapped them of purpose. The only one that actually regresses socially is Jiro and arguably Haruka. The others are just drained.

* BelatedHappyEnding: Surprisingly this happens to Jiro, at the end of ''Donbrothers'', he learned that his [[spoiler:whole village including his friends and girlfriend are all illusions created by his father, the Penguin Juto]], which is part of what drives his behavior during the crossover movie. His last scene in the movie is him hospitalized after a fight with [[spoiler:Sonoi]], but there he meets a [[spoiler:nurse named Hikari Asada who looks exactly like his illusionary girlfriend]] with the implication that he might hit it off with her.
