* Synopsis: Medieval AU where Adora is a slave who sells her soul to the demon queen Catra for a magical sword that'll give her enough power to escape. Catra gives her ten wishes, and will claim her soul and turn her into a demon once they're all used up. Aided (despite her worries she's endangering them) by Bow, a fellow slave, and Glimmer, a noblewoman who's more than she seems, Adora sets out to break Catra's hold on her so her soul will pass on to the goddess Mara. However, as the quest goes on, Adora and Catra start to become friends, and possibly more. I mean, would it ''really'' be so bad to be a demon? But with the villainous demon lord Horde Prime going to war with Catra, more could be at stake than Adora's soul.

* Comments: A beautifull and heartwrenching deep dive into Adora's tenancy to self sacrifice, capped off with her being supported untill she begins to realise she can rely on others. The alteranting POVs are realy REALY good at showing the impact that her behaviour has on everyone around her. just an all round brilliant fic.

* Synopsis: Catra finds herself pulled between two forces when Scorpia is enlisted into a mission that will get her killed - her ambitions, and her refusal to break a promise.

* Notes: This fic re-tells the entire series (though not painstakingly) from the point of view of both an older and wiser Adora and Catra, who both are forced to re-live the best and worst times of their lives, both retaining their memories of those times. Catra's POV sections are especially poignant, as you can really feel her pain and reluctance to do the horrible things she'd done before she started healing, but knowing that if she DOESN'T do them, her happy future with Adora may vanish. Also - once Catra is captured on Horde Prime's ship, you'll find the story is really only getting started...

* Synopsis: Life was good for Seacat. Sure, losing your memory in a Horde attack a few years ago wasn't exactly easy, but she had rolled with the punch and rebuilt her life. She's got a name, a spot on a ship - as long as she could keep it from burning - and a sort of family. But now, just when she was trying to chill in one of Sea Hawk’s favourite dives, some blonde weirdo was hugging her and babbling about having thought her dead years ago.

* Notes: Tells a much more gritty version of the She-Ra story - without Catra at the helm, the Horde's escalation is much slower, and is more things like "make a smaller tank gun that can be carried on a skiff and used as an artillery piece" and "add engines to ships derived from bot motors so that they have steamships while all others are using sails". Involves the protagonists planning out entire battles with hundreds of people instead of charging in in small groups. And many, many ways to win a navy battle by setting your ship on fire. Everyone still has the same personalities and backstories (aside from Seacat) but there's a lot more people dying to swords and explosions now.
