* Comments: Ezio vs. the Templar agents from Brotherhood with a double agent Leonardo in the mix. A chillingly excellent depiction of how much more dangerous the Templars became when they changed tactics and became more reminiscent of the Order in the modern era. Ezio's characterisation is a masterful balance of legendary skill and human vulnerability, of sharp judgement and fatal personality flaws - BoringInvincibleHero is subverted. Also, this is one of the few fics in which Leonardo's work with the Borgia plays a central role, and likely one of the best Ezio & Leonardo non-shipping fics. The writing style is beautiful. Well worth a read.

* Comments: This one's quite literally ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin. Ezio hears a woman's voice cussing a storm at him, especially whenever he messes up a jump between buildings. It's a surprisingly well written work, though a little short. I think this would have been rather interesting if taken further, but it's pretty good on it's own.

This one takes on the idea that if Ezio had witnessed Fiora killing Prowler he would have taken him back to the Assassin's HQ and tried to get him to join the brotherhood. The prowler seems to exhibit signs of having been a Feral Child in this, which would explain a lot of things, however it's also quite realistic and a good read.

* Comments: A very good read, the author did their research and it shows. It seems that this work is implying that Amunet was actually of the famous Ptolemy dynasty, and that she wanted Cleopatra dead for more...personal reasons.

* Comments: I'm pretty surprised no one recommended this yet. This is an author's lovechild of what Malik was like before he came under Al Mualim and what was his interaction with Altair was like. The flow is awesome and it's a very long door stopper. With just 21 chapter, it's almost 200,000 words. Also Altair is much more fun here compared to his canon counterpart. Plenty of mood whiplashes, tear jerkers, and funny moments. It's like a coming of age story, except Malik officially becomes a man at 10. Also, the author did plenty of research before delving on to the setting, which is awesome. A lot of the elements of the setting are well-researched and the culture is pretty accurate. Very rare on fanfics that are closely tied in with actual history.

* ''Comments:'' The prose is lovely and understated, and Isra is exactly intelligent and witty enough to be engaging and relatable, not annoying. Characters, even small ones, are sharply sketched and you get a good impression of life within the Masyaf fortress, and everywhere else Isra ends up. Altair (Perfectly in character, and fleshed out with a couple of grumpy little PetTheDog moments) doesn't pop up for a while, and doesn't become a main character until even later, but you hardly notice, because the story is utterly engrossing. Seriously, callalili, change the names and try to get a publisher up in this bitch.

* ''Synopsis:'' Ezio never realized how strong Leonardo was, that is, until he came to free him from a cell in Cesare's dungeon.
* ''Comments:'' It seems the author wrote this as a fill for an AC kinkmeme, and did a bang up job too. I'm not too sure whether or not Leonardo really could have been strong enough to able to bend steel bars, but it's a hilarious read nonetheless.

* ''Synopsis:'' A one-shot back story of Amunet, the Egyptian who would eventually come to assassinate Queen Kleopatra VII.
* ''Comments:'' A very good read, the author did their research and it shows. It seems that this work is implying that Amunet was actually of the famous Ptolemy dynasty, and that she wanted Cleopatra dead for more...personal reasons.

* ''Synopsis:'' For Desmond, nothing has ever come easy. So why should [[spoiler: death?]] [AU of AC:3 ending, starts at the beginning of AC:B. No slash.] Time travel fic.

* ''Comments:'' I know what your thinking; just another self insert OC right? But just give it a try, it's not as cliche as it seems. Sure it starts out slow but get to about chapter 4 and it REALLY starts picking up. You can tell by reading how much research the author did for this. It's jam packed with historical facts the game doesn't even touch on! Sure, it's got it's ups and downs but for an OC fic it's pretty good.
