* VignetteEpisode: Creator/DarkFlameWolf has recently begun adding several additional chapters to the story (labeled 'events') that further flesh out secondary side character's stories that fit within the framework of the overall story narrative.

* {{Expy}}: [[spoiler:Kafei]] is almost a carbon copy of Jet from AvatarTheLastAirbender; right down to his dual hook swords and a posse of young kids who live amongst the trees attacking an enemy that is clearly not the ones they should be fighting against.
* FateWorseThanDeath: The Nevachreans as a whole; they cannot permenantly die except by special means. So death by drowning, starvation, being run through with a sword or even exploding is just a minor setback for them.

* {{Badass}}: Zelda, Malon, Nabooru, Impa, Ruto, Darunia, Xavier and of course Link. Just about every primary protagonist (and quite a few antagonists) is a Badass in some form or another.
