* ActorAllusion: Chapter 34 has a string of these. Joker tells Yu that he sounds exactly like Nero from ''VideoGame/DevilMayCry4'' (both Creator/JohnnyYongBosch), and Yu says that he gets that a lot. Teddie bets Joker that he can't be a video game character, to which he claims (and then demonstrates) that he can flawlessly imitate the ''VideoGame/SuperSmashBros'' announcer (both Creator/XanderMobus). Yosuke follows this by mentioning his ComicBook/SpiderMan impression (a reference to Creator/YuriLowenthal voicing him in ''VideoGame/SpiderManPS4''), before pointing out that they have more important things to be doing.

* AdaptedOut: WordOfGod confirmed that Marie from ''[[UpdatedRerelease Persona 4 Golden]]'' is one of the few individuals that is not included in this series due to the author’s mass dislike on her existence and views her being irrelevant to both the Investigation Team and Persona 4’s story in general. Thus explaining Marie’s mass absence in Inaba and not being involved with the Investigation Team. Even the author strongly confirmed to everyone that she will not appear in the sequel no matter what.

* ArmorPiercingQuestion: [[spoiler:When the Investigation Team capture Joker and interrogate him, they attempt to guilt trip him with some of the less positive consequences of the Phantom Thieves' actions. Before Yu leaves, Ren stops him and gives the team a detailed account of his false arrest and how his life was ruined. Yu can only answer, "Not a whole lot to be honest."]]

She immediately [[MyGodWhatHaveIDone assumes the worst]] and tries to make a statement to the police, which, since the Phantom Thieves don't exist yet, is completely incomprehensible. However, when she leaves a message to Taki about this, he replies and manages to calm her down, pointing out that Mitsuo Kubo is already under suspicion and that it wouldn't make sense for the Phantom Thieves to leave Tokyo for something like this, nor would they resort to murder when they didn't do so for their previous much worse targets.

* IWillFindYou: When Taki is in Mitsuha's body during the climax of ''Persona 4'', he writes her a calling card signed, "Scarlet of the Phantom Thieves."
-->''Dear Lady Mitsuha Miyamizu, the bizarre spit-sake girl of Inaba. You are a shrill, easily impressed and naive person who is amazed by the world and the people in it. You are emotional and forthright, always speaking your mind even when it's not wanted. Yet despite this, your intentions and heart are both pure and constantly seeking for the truth. Your reality may seem distorted, your memories may fade, but you must know this:\\
No matter where you are. No matter how far apart we may be. No matter if years, or continents, or gods or demons of heaven and hell stand between us, I solemnly swear to you and only you... that I will find you. And I will steal your heart.''
