The Straw Hats have completely destroyed the reputation of the World Government, and it causes a domino effect that leads to a severe loss of manpower for the Marines, shifting the BalanceOfPower in favor of the Four Emperors and generally ensuing chaos across the seas.

* GoombaStomp: Cross pulls this on the Unluckies when they go after him in Jaya. Soundbite even [[LampshadeHanging Lampshades]] it by playing the ''VideoGame/SuperMarioBros1'' music.

** After Spandam's incompetence helps completely humiliate the World Government and he announces his intention to overthrow the Five Elder Stars, Sengoku calls him and tells him to report to the Five Elder Stars and receive everything he has coming to him. Idiot that he is, Spandam thinks he's being rewarded.

* GrowingWings: In Merveille, Conis's vestigial wings suddenly grow in size in response to Su's suffering as they fall. However, her limited flying abilities are cut short due to unfamiliarity in using them.

** Foxy goes catatonic when [[spoiler:Whitebeard calls into the SBS during the broadcasted Davy Back Fight, and Luffy manages to impress him.]] It takes Cross's foghorn to snap him out of it.

** What was it that swore Buggy, someone who has seen the insanity of the New World, off the Grand Line and made him stay firmly in the East Blue? [[spoiler:Lily Carnation]]. [[spoiler:His old crew weren't even that lucky.]]

* ItsPersonal: Unlike the rest of Baroque Works' agents who hold no real grudge against the Straw Hats, the Unluckies have made it clear they will only retire after they've brutally killed Cross and Soundbite.

* MindVirus: It's stated that the reason for [[spoiler:the crew's [[OutOfCharacterAlert out-of-character moments]] on [[Anime/BaronOmatsuriAndTheSecretIsland the Secret Island]], leading to their bonds fracturing,]] is all due to [[spoiler:Lily Carnation's spores]]. * BewareTheNiceOnes: Vivi. It was scary enough when she got angry at Cross for lying to her face about where the Rebel Army was (for good reason, and she apologizes for it later), but after escaping Rain Dinners and Smoker decides to try arresting the Straw Hats...well.

* ParentheticalSwearing: After learning the truth of Ohara, Tsuru responds to Sengoku's orders with a "Yes sir" that sounds far more like "Fuck you".
