** Szayelaporro can create clones of his opponents to fight for him, as [[spoiler:Askin Naak Le Vaar]] finds out. Unfortunately, they're a little ''too'' perfect, as they inherit the ''personalities'' of the original, as well. Case in point: [[spoiler:when he makes a clone of Askin, they get into a catty argument about who's better-looking, since Szayelaporro thought that Askin's pompadour looked stupid and gave the clone a different hairdo]].

** The Royal Guard are even worse. They possess all of the negative qualities of the Gotei 13, albeit cranked UpToEleven, and they are so fanatically self-righteous that they simply ''cannot'' be reasoned with. [[spoiler:This culminates in a brutal backstabbing of Excalibur after she offers the Shinigami, Quincies, and Hollows an alternative solution that would mutually benefit ''everybody'', and attempting to force Shirou to become the new Soul King in a final attempt to re-establish the status quo they so fanatically worship. Everyone else--including the Gotei 13--are so enraged by this act of supreme treachery that they put their grievances with each other on hold and swarm the quintet]].

* HateSink: The Gotei 13 are, with some exceptions, a bunch of sanctimonious, ungrateful, bigoted [[ControlFreak control freaks]] who keep trying to kill (or at least control) Shirou no matter how blindingly obvious it is that he ''isn't'' a threat to them and is perfectly content to leave them alone as long as they extend him the same courtesy. [[spoiler:Not even giving them asylum after the Vandenreich destroy Soul Society earns him even an iota of gratitude from most of them, nor does killing Yhwach, the latter prompting them to ambush him when they see how exhausted he is.]]

* UngratefulBastard: Even after he begrudgingly gives them asylum in Hueco Mundo after [[spoiler:Yhwach takes over the Soul Society]], the Gotei 13 still try to act all high-and-mighty around him and his cohorts. Kisuke Urahara and the Royal Guard are the worst of the lot, as they intend to backstab Shirou because he's too powerful to defeat in open combat and [[ControlFreak not someone they can control.]] His being allied with Aizen, while considered a problem, seems to be more of an excuse on their part than anything else. [[spoiler:Even defeating Yhwach changes nothing, as they ''immediately'' ambush him afterwards.]]

* CloningBlues: Whenever Shirou Traces a weapon, a copy of its spirit inhabits his inner world. When this happens to Aizen's Zanpakuto, Kyoka Suigetsu, the copy of her spirit becomes very upset about this, especially since she has all the original's memories. From her perspective, she was happy in Aizen's inner world when she suddenly found herself in an unfamiliar inner world surrounded by several other spirits.
