** With Mandy and Lucy, while both are creepy children, the former is the most malicious of her main show's trio, while the latter is a more friendly goth despite her aloof attitude. Their relationship with Grim also contrasts with each other, with Mandy effectively turning the grim reaper into a "slave" and never meeting him before until his arrival or a hamster's soul, while Lucy somehow knows Grim at some point before the fanfic and is more cordial to him compared to Mandy. While Mandy resents Billy enough to throw him to the wolves at times, Lucy is willing to wager her own soul (and Lynn's) to save her older brother.

* ContrastingSequelMainCharacter: Or more likely, Contrasting Fanfic Main Character, but for protagonists that fill the role of Billy and Mandy, Lincoln and Goth Lucy contrast both of them in a good amount of ways.
** With Billy and Lincoln, the former is a total moron and at his worst, an InsufferableImbecile without any self-perserverance while the latter is a kind-hearted OnlySaneMan (at times) who's at least BookSmart. The reasons why they bet with Grim are also different, despite both involving a hamster, with Billy being his hamster (Mr. Snuggles)'s owner and genuinely not wanting to let said hamster die, while Lincoln doesn't want his sister Lily to bear the guilt of accidental murder of their family hamster (Geo VI).

From Mr-Dusk, creator of Fanfic/SiblingsOfDoom and Fanfic/LincolnGoesToHell, The Grim Adventures Of Lincoln And Lucy is a crossover fanfic between WesternAnimation/TheLoudHouse and WesternAnimation/TheGrimAdventuresOfBillyAndMandy.

When Grim comes to collect the soul of the sixth hamster to bear the name of Geo in the Loud family's residence, Lincoln challenges him to a wager to save the family pet's soul. He fails, but luckily, Lucy comes to her brother's rescue, and manages to outwit Grim, who must now serve the Louds as their companion. What follows is the Louds, primarily Lincoln and Lucy, having to deal with all the crazy supernatural goings-on that come with having Grim as their friend, on top of all the chaos they already deal with.

!!The Grim Adventures Of Lincoln And Lucy provides examples of:

* ArbitrarySkepticism: Discussed and defied. Lucy calls out Lincoln's dismissal of the existence of vampires when he along with most of their family have witnessed the existence of ghosts, magic, dragons, and now the Grim Reaper but Lincoln rebuttals that he had witnessed the other things with his own eyes. Lana then points out that he believed in ghosts long before he had any concrete evidence. Defied when Grim tells him vampires exist and Lincoln begrudgingly decides to be more open minded.
* BaitAndSwitch: Grim gets offended when Clyde shrieks the second time they're in the same room together but Clyde tells him he was more surprised to see Lincoln in a dress (ItMakesSenseInContext).
* BalancingDeathsBooks: Grim lets Lucy know she has to bet more than her own soul for the souls of Lincoln and Geo. Luckily, she also had ownership of Lynn's soul. Grim then has to bet his servitude to balance out her bet.
** WordOfGod says Lincoln betting his soul allowed Grim to bend the natural order of sparing Geo.
* BigBrotherInstinct: What kicks off Lincoln's bet with Grim, as Lincoln didn't want Lily to have the guilt of accidentally killing Geo VI weighing on her; inverted with Lucy who later makes a bet with Grim to get Lincoln's soul back after he lost his bet.
* ButtMonkey: Lynn, though that's to be expected from Mr. Dusk. Not that it seems to bother her or slow her down, because she’s an…
** IronButtMonkey: Lynn doesn't let having no soul, being thrown into a supernatural vortex, or having her head sliced off (granted in Lincoln's nightmare) slow her down.
* CastingGag: Grim calls Lily and Lola evil, a reference to the fact they are voiced by Grey Delisle, who also voiced Mandy.
* ChessWithDeath: Lincoln wagers his soul to save Geo if he can beat Grim at a video game. Lincoln loses (because Grim used cheat codes) and has his soul forfeited. Lucy in turn wages her and Lynn's souls to get the other two back in a staring contest. Lucy wins by throwing pocket sand into Grim's eye sockets.
* DontFearTheReaper: After all the bets and Grim moves into the Loud House, he's accepted being a house guest and being mostly cordial to the Louds. Then again, the Louds are better hosts than Billy and Mandy were. His appearance still causes Clyde to faint.
* ItAmusedMe: Grim gives Lincoln nightmares saying it'll help desensitize him towards scary movies. After Lincoln is asleep however, he admits that he doesn't think it would work but he thought it'd be funny.
* MediumAwareness: Lincoln seems well aware that he's in a fan fiction given he uses terms like "chapter" and "flash backs" casually. Oddly enough, this seems limited to him so far as Clyde was confused with Lincoln's wording.
* NoodleIncident: Lynn apparently sold her soul to Lucy for five dollars when Lucy was six. Why she did so or how it actually worked is unclear and raises a lot of questions.
* RealLifeWritesThePlot: Grim uses his magic to correct Lisa’s lisp. This is actually so that Mr-Dusk wouldn’t have to write her lisp during her dialogue
* ShoutOut: To quite a bit from The Simpsons to King of the Hill to Jurassic Park, to RL Stine's The Haunting Hour and even Sharktopus.
* TheDreadedPretendTeaParty: Lola manages to rope Grim into one, complete with giving him a dress. Lincoln later trades places with him due to rudely interrupting her.
* TheFourthWallWillNotProtectYou: Starting with the second chapter, Lucy addresses the audience in the same vein as Mandy did, usually in a vaguely threatening manner.
* ViolationOfCommonSense: Lincoln confronting and wagering his soul against the personification of Death is met with Lily trying to tell him not to. Of course, he doesn't listen.
* WrongGenreSavvy: During his ‘’Jurassic Park’’ inspired nightmare, Lincoln has the realization that kids don't get hurt in those movies. Seconds later he gets devoured.
